Waverly Woods Golf Course

Waverly's always a good time but I want to specifically compliment your golf pro Joe in the clubhouse. He did something I don't hear done at golf courses anymore. He reminded the group checking in in front me, and then myself, to fix ball marks, divots, and most importantly KEEP PACE with the people playing ahead of them. The Starter (whose name escapes me, but I see him and talk to him all the time.... retired cop...), did the same. THANK YOU!! No one does this anymore.

I've been playing Waverly Woods since the course opened in the 90's. From the time you check-in, to the course conditions, to the 19th hole, I think it may be the best it's ever been right now. It's not often a course hits its peak 25 years in but Waverly Woods has done it. The price is good for the experience, the staff is wonderful, pace of play is good (for a public golf course), your superintendent has the greens running like ice, and the fairways are in good shape. Food is excellent and reasonably priced, and the bartenders are very hospitable, especially Natasha. I'm a member at Rolling Road but found myself playing Waverly Woods just as much this past year.

Was in great shape…some quirky holes with strange mounding or forced carries to small areas or over wetlands…some target type golf…but overall a solid track….good driving range and putting area …forces Carry yardage in some holes…

One of the best courses in the region for overall conditions and pace of play. Already booked my next round and can’t wait to try the other course Blue Mash.
