I want to thank Ed for getting us out yesterday. We were running late for our afternoon time yesterday, and you guys would have been perfectly justified in making us wait or turning us away, but when the guy working the pro shop called the starter to check on getting us out to play, he immediately replied "Send them over, I'll make sure we get them out." The starter's name was Ed. thanks Ed!!

Worth the drive
I drove an hour and 15 minutes and it was worthy every mile. Staff was super friendly and helped me get out early. Course was in great shape. Tons of elevation changes. Greens are pure. I joined a with a group of 3 who played from white tees. As a 9 handicap, I wish I would have played the blues. But still had a great time.
Only issue was a 3 group back up at 10 and no Marshall in sight. But it allowed me to eat lunch which I normally don’t due.

Cool place
Recently moved to the Baltimore area and decided to check out Waverley. I don't know if hidden gem is the right descriptor but I'm surprised I hadn't heard about this place before. Pretty amazing to have an Arthur Hills course so close by. Everybody was friendly. Only downside was that it rained, so we'll have to come back on a better weather day.

Excellent golf at a reasonable price
We played on Monday (Juneteenth holiday in Maryland). We found the course to be excellent for the price we paid. Really enjoyed the day, the Bev cart girl was super friendly, service was great, we talked to 3 different gentlemen on the course who were all hospitable and each had their own sort of... charm? all around great experience. The golf course was challenging but nothing punishing.

perfect day of golf
we played saturday fathers day weekend and had a great day. course is immaculate. everything great - pace of play was good, staff great, surprisingly good food and drink for the smallish pro shop. a true gem.

Mgmt always rushing the golfers
It was not an enjoyable round. For the fifth consecutive time playing there, the marshal told us to pick when we had been waiting on nearly every shot on the group in front.
No one was around when we waited for them to make drinks on the 7th tee.
They all hit bad shots and didn’t finish hole 13 and Waverly expects us to rush and catch up? That is not the way to treat paying customers.
I will not return to Waverly and I will be sure to let others know what the experience will be like.

Women-Friendly Course
We played the course for the first time this week. Everything was in good condition. Mark and Joe were very helpful and overall this course is more women-friendly than some of the others around. This is probably overlooked by every male golfer, but we notice!
