Waverly Woods Golf Course

Played at 1pm on a Sunday! Ended up going off 10 minutes late because the staff double booked a group. Pace of play was horrific because of this. With that being said, it’s not the normal. I’ve played here in the past and finished 18 in 4 hrs. Nice layout and great conditions in July.

The day was wet and rainy but that didn't stop me from getting out. Alex in the pro shop was great and answered all of the questions that I had and even provided me with a few extra towels as I only had 1 and it was raining very steadily. The course itself was in GREAT shape and the green were still quick despite them being soaked all day. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in perfect conditions. I would love to play here on a nice day since my round in the rain was so enjoyable.

First time playing the course. It is beautifully maintained. Played from the red tee box. They are clearly marked and beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly. They provided me with a small bucket of balls with my round. The driving range is grass not mats. Huge plus in my book. The starter was helpful and got me going early. I played by myself and he didn’t make me join another group. The drink cart came around once but didn’t need it. Texting my order and having it ready at the turn was seamless.

They just punched the greens so I will go back in a month and enjoy perfection. It is a drive for me and with the cost of gas I have to factor that in but the course is worth it when I get the Golf Now discount.

No complaints. Appreciate your marshall dealing with a slow and obnoxious group of guys playing in front of us. Other than that was a great day.

I want to thank Ed for getting us out yesterday. We were running late for our afternoon time yesterday, and you guys would have been perfectly justified in making us wait or turning us away, but when the guy working the pro shop called the starter to check on getting us out to play, he immediately replied "Send them over, I'll make sure we get them out." The starter's name was Ed. thanks Ed!!

I drove an hour and 15 minutes and it was worthy every mile. Staff was super friendly and helped me get out early. Course was in great shape. Tons of elevation changes. Greens are pure. I joined a with a group of 3 who played from white tees. As a 9 handicap, I wish I would have played the blues. But still had a great time.

Only issue was a 3 group back up at 10 and no Marshall in sight. But it allowed me to eat lunch which I normally don’t due.

Recently moved to the Baltimore area and decided to check out Waverley. I don't know if hidden gem is the right descriptor but I'm surprised I hadn't heard about this place before. Pretty amazing to have an Arthur Hills course so close by. Everybody was friendly. Only downside was that it rained, so we'll have to come back on a better weather day.

We played on Monday (Juneteenth holiday in Maryland). We found the course to be excellent for the price we paid. Really enjoyed the day, the Bev cart girl was super friendly, service was great, we talked to 3 different gentlemen on the course who were all hospitable and each had their own sort of... charm? all around great experience. The golf course was challenging but nothing punishing.
