Great course if you get a hot deal

Wonderful Waverly Woods
Other than the greens being recently "punched", Waverly Woods GC was in great shape.
Nice Layout
This course has different types of holes. Holes with hills and elevation, holes with water and some very long and forgiving holes. Overall very nice course would definitely come back
Almost Spring
For early in the year - course was in very good shape. Dollar value was comparable to both Baltimore City and County premium courses. Course layout was a little more demanding (elevation changes) than the premium courses but very enjoyable. Overall a very nice change of pace from the muni courses in and around Baltimore.
Good course, decent conditions for time of year.
Staff wouldn't let us out early even though very few tee times were booked that day.
Great course coming out of cold weather!
Course was in really good shape but the greens were running pretty slow/bumpy, which was to be expected with the weird weather we've had this year
Excellent Course
I had played here once before early 2016. I remember enjoying it then. I found the greens pretty challenging then, and I did this time too. I plan on going back with a few more rounds under my belt. I'll recommend checking it out.
NIce Course
Normally this course would be above my price range. I played here because of the golf now discount. Nice course, in good condition. I found it to be a easy course from the tee box, but tough on and around the greens. What stood out most to me was how friendly the staff was. Very professionally run course.
Exceptional 1st round of 2017
No better way to start the new year than playing on New Years day. This was my first visit to Waverly and our group played in about four hours even with cart path only. And I picked up a new driver for $150 on clearance sale. One of my favorite things about this course is the layout- every hole is completely different. Can't wait to play it in the summer!
Great course on an unseasonably warm Dec. day!
Great course in great shape, even for the winter. Outstanding service as I was asked to switch out the cart after 9 holes as they were worried about the charge lasting given the cold temps, but we had no problems. Love the layout as it makes you think your way around the course.
Bad Course, Too Expensive, Ignorant People
This course is unfriendly in every sense of the word. Mean staff, poorly maintained course, too expensive for the value, and the rangers drive by as you're trying to hit your ball.
You charge like a upscale course, yet you're a mediocre facility. You'd be better off at diamond ridge or timbers of troy. And that's saying something.
Rude Management/Good Course
The gentleman who I believe is the general manager strikes me a condescending and rude. The course is fine, but many of the staff are rude and can't be bothers. I've heard many times from people that this place treats its employees very poorly, and I noticed a clear runoff management violation near their cart storage area.
Stay away from Waverly Woods.

I'd recommend you talk to the GM as it appears you have an axe to grind. My group plays 40+ rounds a year at area courses and you're at the extreme end of the spectrum when it comes to your comments on the course, its quality and the staff. We play, and enjoy, Timbers at Troy (notice the correct name) but even on its best day it cannot compare with Waverly Woods. I'd strongly advise others reading this review to be suspect of its authenticity.
Perhaps there is an agenda here on the part of a few individuals, as Waverly Woods conditions far exceeded those of most other golf courses in the region in 2016, according to virtually every golfer we talked with that played Waverly Woods this year. Regardless, you will be pleased to hear that a new manager will be taking over in 2017. Cheers!
