At Wyckoff, some of the views atop tees or hillsides can be exhilarating–as at the par 5, 531-yard third. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

The fifth may be the toughest short par-4 on the course, rising from its fairway to this well-guarded green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

Seven is simply a great “postage stamp” hole that is also beautiful. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

14th, par-4, 393: Designed by Donald Ross as part of WCC’s original 18, it’s hard to imagine anyone not being impressed by a hole this good. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

The fifteenth, a par-4 of 365, is a target hole of modern design. It virtually forces players to lay up prior to the marsh, yet it can be played as a risk-reward hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

18th, par-3, 229: The course closes strongly with a distinctive par-3: its raised, wedge-shaped green is pinched in front by two sizable bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

Seventeen is simply a great par-4 and strongly resembles Donald Ross’ 13th at Mount Washington (N.H). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/24/2022

Eighteen: The parking lot behind it doesn’t diminish the excellence of this closing par-3. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/24/2022

My lovely cart driver. Photo submitted by u314160366138 on 08/28/2020
Not a lot of good to say about this course. Even though rated as 4 stars, I found it to be in poor condition. The tee boxes were mostly dirt, fairways were sparse and the leaves not cleared well. My playing partner and I lost multiple balls that should have been found. Greens were in decent shape but often sloped severely.
Tight course
The holes are all right next to eachother and almost got hit by errand balls 4 times in 18 holes
Bring your hard hat!
The good: fast greens with lots of DR signature, well designed slopes to keep balls in play.
The bad: tee boxes have no grass, fairways in rough condition. More crabgrass than grass. Cart paths are the worst I have ever seen in 40 years of playing! Course is mostly parallel holes, almost got hit 4 times from different angles and groups.
Course needs alot of work
Tee boxes were dirt with occasional grass.
Fairways were full of crabgrass.
Bunkers were mostly gravel with hints of sand.
Only positive was the greens were in very nice condition and quick.
It could be a very fun course to play as the layout has some challenges, but unless they tend to the shape it's in, I won't be playing there anytime soon again.
True mountain course
Where to begin? Second time playing the course today. Average golfer usually shoot high 80's.
Pros:
Price
Carts are good
Greens are in very good shape
Practice green is big
Staff is very friendly
Beer is cheap bartenders are cool
Course is quiet as far as crowds
Cons
Little margin for error. The front 9 is a bit more open.
Back 9 is a bear.
Fairways are narrow. If you miss the fairway you have a crap lie most times. Lots of uneven lies everywhere.
Only 2 par 5s but they are tough but reachable in 2.
You can lose balls very easily everywhere because of the rough.
All this being said I will still return here for the value and the staff friendliness. Good luck on the back nine. Donald Ross design need I say more!
Wyckoff
Greens were great. Cart paths horrible, Fairways ok, Rough nothing but crab grass, traps not maintained
Save your money
Title says it all.
Course is dreadful, there's rocks hidden under the little grass that is there, pace of play couldn't have been much slower at 5:18 for 18, groups in front of us had 5 people so rules and etiquette don't exist. Greens were decent outside of geese poop everywhere like a mine field. Just don't waste your time. Airways in suffield,CT looks like the ranch compared to this place
Not very good
Course not in great condition, lots of sand and terrible cart paths. Would not recommend
