At Wyckoff, some of the views atop tees or hillsides can be exhilarating–as at the par 5, 531-yard third. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

The fifth may be the toughest short par-4 on the course, rising from its fairway to this well-guarded green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

Seven is simply a great “postage stamp” hole that is also beautiful. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

14th, par-4, 393: Designed by Donald Ross as part of WCC’s original 18, it’s hard to imagine anyone not being impressed by a hole this good. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

The fifteenth, a par-4 of 365, is a target hole of modern design. It virtually forces players to lay up prior to the marsh, yet it can be played as a risk-reward hole. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

18th, par-3, 229: The course closes strongly with a distinctive par-3: its raised, wedge-shaped green is pinched in front by two sizable bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2025

No coarse management
Payed to play 18, on the turn we were backed up as they were sending afternoon players off the back 9 . Poor (no)course management .
Wyckoff CC
I liked Wyckoff CC. The course had a nice layout and was challenging. Some of the distant views were amazing. The only deficiencies were the paved cart paths and tee boxes. The cart paths were crumbling which made the ride rough, but they were busy repairing them. The tee boxes were beat and need attention. The club house was nice, had friendly staff and good food. I will play Wyckoff CC again and recommend it to others.
Deb
Due to rain a lot of marshy areas yet overall I can see good progress in course conditions

Lots of rain equals lots of water here.
Great value and like the course . Had rained multiple days before I went so course was really wet but still a good time.
Might be much better after renovations and course management
The staff was extremely accommodating. Very kind people. The clubhouse and restaurant is getting renovated. Where Wyckoff loses considerable ratings are two-fold:
1. The cart paths are at best absolutely atrocious and at worst a legitimate negligence hazard. They are so dangerously tattered that my cart almost tipped over on one occasion. Someone will get hurt. Each hole’s cart path must be immediately addressed.
2. The greens-keepers need to be addressed. The greens were unnecessarily way too short and way too fast. On several holes you tap the ball and it rolls 27 feet past. Wholly unenjoyable.
Awesome layout, poor turf condition
Our first time playing. I’m an assistant super at a reputable club in northwest mass. First impressions: beat tee boxes top dressed in construction sand, wet turf on 1, collection area of rock in the middle of two fairway at the landing zone for an average drive, nothing but thatch and black organic matter comprising divots. New Year’s Eve there was a lot of activity. We absorbed a single riding on a cart into our group on 4. We were walking but then I observed the poor condition of cart path entries and exits. There were ruts a foot deep from cart traffic in wet areas. The layout of the course is awesome. Short holes with interesting green complexes, but I could not get over how soaked the fairways were. On 11 we absorbed another single, a member who was kind enough to caddy us around on the back. He remarked it was his last round as a member after experiencing the decline of the course over the past decade. A groundskeeper was limping up a small oak to the right of 11 tee and told us it was an impossible shot from the back tee. The limb job still left one in the angle of the shot and I asked why take the time to limb the tree poorly when removing it altogether would be less work and actually improve the tee shot ??! A few holes later I asked when the greens were aerated, guessing late August/early September. He answered the holes still had not healed from the spring. I feel for the members here. The owners need to realize that to continue diminishing the daily fee for guests and the membership price will not attract more people. The course will continue to decline without capital to invest in a quality head greenskeeper/superintendent with knowledge of irrigation (so many spots of dead turf on greens) and give the guy or gal a modest budget for quality topdressing sand, some pipe for drainage, and perhaps a tree removal plan where sensible to market some of the quality oak creating shade/debris issues. We learned from the member that a new sports group now owns the course… hopefully they’ll have some good sense to switch up the status quo at Wyckoff so that it can be enjoyed for years to come as an affordable option on a scenic site with interesting holes.
Needs work!
The staff was friendly is the only positive thing I can say about the course. Could not believe the condition. Looked as if it had not been maintained in years. We are in drought but all the other courses in the area are in great condition considering the lack of rain. Yes, you get what you pay for, but I've paid the same for well-manicured public courses. This course is not for me!
Wannabe gem
The course presents an interesting challenge. It's not long, but the greens are difficult if you're in the wrong spots and trying to get up and down. With the exception of the greens, the course itself is in poor shape. Most of the tee boxes are dried out, as are many of the fairways. The cart paths are a wreck with much broken or missing pavement and large holes. Many of the commonly traveled areas of fairways are also in bad shape. Be prepared to bounce in your cart. Enjoy the greens!
Overrated
This is not a four star golf course. The fairways are ok but if you miss left or right you get a new definition of rough as in dirt and rocks. Small greens and unless you stick the ball expect it to roll far as there isn’t a fringe to catch it. The tee boxes are terrible - in many cases just sand. I’ve been tricked on golf now before but this was the worst course yet.
