Funky course
Played this course for the first time using Golf Now. There was a number of blind shots and if it wasn't for the GPS telling us not to hit we would have driven a number of times into the group in front of us. The greens were lightning fast and true. Found a number of funky holes on the back side. Definitely need to have local knowledge to play here. The Golf Now rate made it worth while to play here. Would play it again now that I know where to hit many shots.
Great course.
Great course in great condition. Fast greens, challenging holes with a few tough carries. Played on a slightly drizzly Saturday and had the course to ourselves.
great deal from golfnow!
nice place. would recommend . bring some balls this course eats them .
Tough course for a beginner
Oh my god! The golf course was so tough for beginner like me. Though I tried to stay positive for every tee shot, the challenges kept growing and was eating my hope and confidence. Not an easy course for a fun day of golfing! Very tough and challenging, for those wanting to learn to play a Better golf one day!
Great round
First time playing New England and I would definitely go back. Course was a little slow, but to be expected on a beautiful day. Challenging and not entirely forgiving, this course is good for any ability. GPS on the carts was also nice.
Great Course & Value
One of the best public access courses in all of New England. Great design, aesthetically beautiful, every hole is unique and the greens are as good as it gets which really makes it enjoyable to play and accurate yardages. Staff is terrific too. When I visit NE there are only two course worth playing .... and both with the best greens and layout in 5 states.... and those are Stow Acres in Stow MA and New England Country Club ... get a discounted rate on GolfNow and you'll keep coming back..!
Target golf. Great conditions.
Played 1st week of June (Sunday 2pm tee time). Course was in excellent shape; especially the greens which rolled smooth and true.
Everything went well; starter was helpful in getting groups off at their tee times.
Can lose a few balls if crooked off the tee or not accurate with approach shots.
New England CC
Course is in great condition. Greens had been plugged but sanded and rolled to be extremely playable, Hale Irwin course with many blind tee shots. A golfer's scores should improve with better knowledge of the course. We hope to play the course a few more times this year.
Solid
Course was in great shape. Pace was quick, no waiting. Some challenging holes. Enjoyed round.
Challenging track but greens aerated
New England is a very challenging track with some forced carries.Golf carts have GPS. Greens had been aerated and top dressed with LOTs of sand. No bathroom or port a potty on the course. After 9 had to drive a few minutes back to the clubhouse to use the restrooms and then return to 10. Despite the greens and lack of bathrooms I would recommend the course to anyone.
Great layout, wish I knew it was just punched though
This is the forth or fifth time I have played NECC, I really enjoy the layout but I wish I knew they had just aerated the greens. The practice area is above average as well. They lost a lot of trees this winter, some of them that were signatures of the course sadly. The cart paths needs to be redone but I would recommend this course as long as you can find it, ask SIRI for help
Opening weekend 2014
Good conditions for opening weekend. Greens in good shape. A bit wet but ground mostly solid. Plays different on e wetlands grow in. Good course layout. One of my favorites in the area.
Classic design
Interesting and classic design. Some fun holes here. Greens were very fast and very undulating. Lots of blind shots. Not bad overall. Difficult to play the first time around because of the blind shots.
The course condtion was higher than maintained. The greens were in very good shape.
New England is a good track that is maintained well. The greens and fairways were in very good condition. The GPS on the carts makes it to play especially with the layups. The staff are friendly. The pace of play was good, 4:10.
Bring Water
The course is tight and challenging which is part of why the pace of play is slow. The greens are fast and in good condition. The carts have GPS but are old and very dirty and poorly maintained. The biggest issue was no water coolers anywhere on the course, but you could buy bottled water for $3 from the cart girl who came by once n the round. Probably some better places to play for $70...
nice course, slow play
nice course,39$, slow play. I would go back, we had a good time
Shaggy and Moderate
First and 10th T's are long ways from club house. Awkward start and finish to the whole round.
Fairways in terrible shape. Old divot marks everywhere.
Traps were unkept and un raked.
Overall a pretty shaggy course that fell well below expectations for the cost.
For $35 it is worth it. For $70 it is not.
For $70, I might agree with you. I played same course (18 holes!) recently for $39. Is that price more agreeable to you?
BTW, current 2nd tee used to be the 1st tee. Also, current 1st tee used to be 18th tee. Change made sense for the overall flow of the golf course, given the location of practice areas. I do understand your point, though. Really wasn't any way to re-configure 1st & 10th tees nearer the clubhouse.
Each hole is different and interesting
I would enjoy playing this course again now that I know what the blind holes look like! GPS nice but no photos.
Need restrooms not portopotties at the turn!!!!
Good suggestion about restrooms at the turn. Probably a fairly costly proposition for the golf course, though.
Great course has everything your looking for and in great condition
Best deal in the area! Top quality greens, fairways are always clean. Pace isn't bad on weekends.
Very nice course. Lots of rolling greens.
Last minute tee off with a coworker. Course was a little wet due to previous two days of rain.

Agree about the lack of H2O stations during play - great point! Course design slowing pace of play is dead-on too. As for "better places to play for $70," not so sure about that. For the golf alone, taking nothing else into account, there's probably no better value - even given the $70 price tag.
