Bay Pointe Country Club
About
Bay Pointe Country Club was known as Wareham Country Club when it first opened in 1964 up until 1988 when it underwent a major renovation, including the construction of the island green seventh hole, which is the golf course's signature. The club underwent yet another multi-million dollar renovation in 2012 when the club changed ownership. In the most recent renovation, hundreds of extraneous trees were cleared from the fairways in order to get it back into pristine condition. Although it's a seemingly short layout at just over 6,200 yards from the back tees, it actually plays much longer. The first two holes are laid across the hilliest portion of the terrain. Though you have a challenging start, the rest of the Bay Pointe golf course eases into a gentler landscape.

Bay Pointe
Cart paths were incredibly bad. Seems like they’re paying more attention to building condo’s then the golf course.
Terrible condition
I wouldn’t play this course even if it was the only tee time i could find. Paying full price for the absolute worse conditions I have ever seen on a course.
Wait til next year
Disgraceful shape. GN needs to think seriously about having this course listed.
Greens fine; rest embarrassing poor. Apologized to three some I invited. One and done.
Declared drought conditions and water restrictions had to have contributed to debacle.
Played the course five years ago and enjoyed it. Not sure how it can survive except for location.
Potential
Place needs a ton of work but has a lot of potential....$77 is way too much 💰 to change for a course that looks like this... wait til renovation is complete!
Go elsewhere
$77 for the worst conditions of any place around. It has went from a decent course surrounded by woods to playing in the unkept backyards of townhouses. Washed out sandy and rocky fairways. Torn up and weed filled tee boxes. Rock hard sand traps. Greens had more craters than the moon. Maybe one day it will recover but it won’t be anytime soon
Horrible
Fairways have lots of dirt, sand trap have no sand but a lot of weeds, tee boxes are in terrible shape. I have plated this course manytimes prior to 2018 and it was always fun. Now it is in terrrible shape. I hope that once the build out of homes on the course is done that there will be a focus on bringing back the course. My recommendation is to pick a different course in the area until this one has been brought back from the dead!
Place has lots of potential
Played on Father’s Day. 77 bucks for 18 with cart due at clubhouse. Pace of play was great took under 4 hours for a full round. Fairways and rough need some work and a lot of attention, lots of issues with growth and a ton of sand everywhere. Bunkers were In poor condition, lots of rocks in them and could use some fresh sand. Greens were great except they were recently aerated. Pretty slow but very bumpy. Cart paths were non existent. Couple years and the place could be a gem.
Enjoyable day
Winter golf at its best. Alway enjoy playing bay point. Today 40 degrees, greens holding and putting true. Can’t wait till next time
