Short and narrow
The course itself played pretty short from the blue tees, but many of the tee shots had trouble to the sides. Found myself hitting 3 iron off the tee for a majority of par 4s with a mid iron into the greens. A leaf blower would have made a big difference. My group lost a number of balls that simply couldn't be found due to the piles of leaves lining each hole, so fall golf drops were in full effect. Lots of variety when it comes to hole layouts which was nice. Overall a decent experience and managed to shoot a personal best with my second ever eagle on the 7th hole.

Fall Golf
Nice fall round of golf in 4 hrs but course needs to pickup some leaves. If you missed a fairway on this already tight course, your ball was pretty much lost because of so many leaves. Leaves all over many greens too.

Late Fall at butternut
Fairways and greens were Great shape for fall golf .

Fun layout (clearing water on approach/drive, no need to shape shots)
Friendly staff

Short (don’t need your driver)
Tight course (slice or hook will get you into trouble, balls from other fairways)
No rakes in the bunkers

A little slow (to be expected)
Many tee boxes were aerated/closed, so it played shorter than normal. Was a beautiful layout and very fun to play. Greens were slow, so it was very easy to putt (12 HC, shot 1 over on the back). A 200 tee shot gives you a wedge or iron into most holes. Would definitely play it again.

Great course with awesome staff
This course is great. A little of the beaten path nut that is part of its charm. Great condition with some interesting carries. Enjoy!

Tough year
New England weather has not been great this summer, so its been tough on the greens keepers, but the course was very wet, tee boxes were beat up, and the greens had been punched a week or so prior but still very rough and uncut.

Aerated greens, very sandy and slow.
The course is a good layout with narrow fairways. Recently aerated makes the greens very sandy and bumpy. I like the course but would not pay full price the way the course is now. It should be discounted in current condition.

Severe thunderstorms - No rain check & Just go away!
Twelve of us booked to play yesterday using GolfNow app. After playing first 9 holes, we met severe thunder storms & lightening. Too dangerous to play golf. The owner would not give refund or raincheck!
We wanted some drinks/foods to stay out of thuderstorm, but their restaurant closed up!
You should listen to many golfers' complaints on your "No Raincheck" We're not confused 24 cancellation policy with "No Raincheck"!

Awful course
Course is flooded, fairways may not even grow back for 2024 season, awful staff. Overall terrible course 9/10/23
