Segregansett Country Club

Wonderful day of golf for my 88 year old dad and I. He used to caddy the course when he was 10-12 years old. Played it for the very first time almost 80 years later. The course was in great shape considering the drought. Slightly long and challenging, some fun dog legs, shots over water, and plenty of bunkers guarding greens. The staff and their generosity really shined. They greeted us and lunch was complimentary. I'd definitely play there again even without the celebratory fanfare.

I haven't played here in quite awhile didn't play great but I played within my 85-95 score , this course played almost 6400 yds from white and I am not a big hitter , scored 92 and was happy with that. This course is a long touch course the ponds and rivers , streams are all pretty much dry but the course was in great shape for the draught season.

You gotta go and enjoy this great course.

Would have given higher rating, but was coupled with 2 players who were very high handicap and took almost 5 hours to play 18 holes. This is a risk with booking at new course through online service.

This course is always a Challenge. Great greens great layout and if you can shoot your handicap you Had a good day.

Four of us had a reunion round at Segregansett. I've moved away from the northeast and returned for a wedding. It was a great day, so good to see friends once again. The course layout is excellent allowing you to use every club in your bag. The condition of the course has deteriorated a bit over the past several years. But what courses, other than the private, exclusive ones, haven't gone down hill? There was a time when crab grass didn't exist at Segregansett. The greens were excellent and lies around the green were consistently lush. We let a couple of groups go thru; after all, we did have a lot to catch up on. The workers on the course had a great sense of humor. The traps were all well-raked and had plenty of sand. It's probably the last time I will ever play Segregansett and I'll miss it.

As always we will not disappointed segregates it was in great shape the greens were perfect Pizza play was excellent enjoyed a great three and a half hour round thank you again can't wait till we get back there, ed

Enjoyed my round, Greens were very quick with a lot of slope. Staying below the hole is critical.. I am not a fan of hole 2, Par 5 and had to hit 6 iron off the tee to lay up. Best chance is to keep it as far right as you can, so you have a much easier second shot. Pace of play was no fault of the course, Being a single sometimes the folks you get paired with are the issue which was the case today. it is not a good course for high handicap golfers

Excellent greens and fairways, Bunkers need some more sand

It was clear that we were playing a semi-private course. Tee markers would have helped and bar was closed for an after-round beer. Course is challenging but mostly flat. Greens were tough but well-kept,

I would like to try it again.
