Horrible conditions
I will never play here again. The entire course was a mud pit. In fact, there were crews in an actual row boat in the middle of a mud pit on one hole doing work. While it appears their efforts are focused largely on remodeling the driving range, the course was a disaster. I've played here before and it was muddy, but better. This time it was awful. Also, none of the grass bordering the fairway was cut so it was impossible to find a ball. IMPOSSIBLE!
Currently Course Construction
I play here all the time they are doing work on the driving range and around 4-6 holes on the back 9 it was kind of an issue with the guys honking and trucks driving around the cart paths. We were hitting between at 20 yard gap in a F250 and a front loader while they were still getting material guy in the front seat about 50 yards infront of the tee box steering at golfers shot at him never seen anything like it course is good shape overall.
Great Course.
It is such an easy walking course, but it took us five and a half hours to play, because of the inconsiderate foursome ahead of us, who were hitting 3 to 4 balls each. It really needs a working Ranger.
Disappointing
I booked the 9 holes that cost a few more bucks, assuming it would be nicer. Unfortunately when checking in, I was asked if we could play on the 9 behind the hotel. I said yes not knowing what I was agreeing to. This place is under complete “renovation” due to how badly it floods, and this 9 has equipment actively digging long trenches all over the course. Driving the golf kart around is an adventure, literally trying to avoid swamp lands right in the fairway.
Rain makes it tough to play
If there was no rain this course would be great to go play for a casual round, but when it rains can't play for about a week after. Drainage system is needed in the worst way! Otherwise, greens in good shape, tee boxes could be flatter, but not the worst. Would play again but definitely not worth more than 40-50$ with cart.
Don’t play here after it rains.
The course was a mess, it rained the night before and the course was literally unplayable, they should really not open after it rains.
Norwood CC
Decided this course last minute with some time to spare while up in the area. Not super challenging and straightforward course. If you're looking for thrills, perfect greens or fairways this isn't the place. If you're looking to swing your clubs and not expect too much then this place is it. Went mid Nov and it was wet, muddy is done spots and not tended to in some time other places. Decent lay out, needs to be taken care of. Large divots on fairways and t boxes. Uneven and patchy greens was the norm. The staff was great, friendly and polite. The carts could use better cleaning but they were ok. I've been to places that were worse off. Overall about a 2.5. Good food nearby and easy to get to.
Miserable Place
This place has terrible customer service and is a dog track of a course. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Luckily, GolfNow has great customer service and refunded my money.
Not accommodating
I accidentally booked for 4 players but only had 2 players even though i explained that it was a mistake i was told nothing they can do.
