Not a bad time
Course was in pretty good shape, and most importantly after their drainage has been fixed, dry. Greens good, and rough fair. It's short, flat, and straight, but NCC does a good job keeping the round interesting
Don’t waste your time
Worst course i’ve played in a long time - stay away. Huge holes for sprinklers in the middle of the green, swampy fairways, uncut rough, and absolutely horrible pace of play. Don’t believe the high rating on here boosted by the regulars…
Swampy Mess, delayed start
Arrived at 7:45 for an 8:30 round. Clubhouse/Bartender (same guy swamped with two jobs on a Holiday) complained I was early. Told him I had hoped to hit a bucket before playing, but the range was closed so no option to do so. (About 20 golfers in parking lot looking to use the range, so I don't think it is usually closed at this time).
Load up and line up at starting tee 20 minutes ahead to tee time, 3 groups waiting, and one on the tee box waiting for hole to clear. Finally tee off 30 minutes late, pace of play was fine, finished right on time with the card, so just late getting people out.
Course is adjacent to a busy municipal airport, so every 5-10 minutes a low flying plane takes off, can mess up your concentration.
Could be a great course, but I've been occasionally (1 time a season or so) playing here for over 10 years and they have done nothing about the swampy conditions. Doesn't seem the be a priority at all. The only thing that they have done to keep up with other courses in the area is raise there green fees.
There are at least 10 better public courses within 30 minutes that are either the same price, or within 10 dollars. All of them are better options.
Thank you for a nice return to NCC!
Hi All! It was nice to be able to return on 6/11 to golf at NCC! It had been at least 2 years! My crew of 4 faithfully played 9 holes every Saturday morning for years until the rules changed and we could no longer play the desired 9 holes on a weekend morning! We have found a new course to play but very much miss the convenience and friendly staff at NCC! Glad for the website ‘error’ that did allow us to play 9 yesterday and it was like old times! Really enjoyed it - the course was in pretty good shape and we had a blast! Thank you again! Paula Flood
I almost hit a plane on 14
Besides the fact that this course is straight as an arrow,, theres constantly planes landing within 100 yards of your position. Plane engine decibels easily breach 100 decibels on numerous greens. I literally apexed OVER a plane on 14 and while that may sound cool to some, it didnt feel cool or safe to me. Plus they made a random golfer pair up in carts with me. I shot an 83/ he shot a 106 so I’ll let that speak for itself. Absolute joke..
Oh and theres also absolutely ZERO shade anywhere on this boring course and no cart girl.
10/10 will not return
Boring
This course is a big yawn. It has no approaching features or obstacles for any of the fairways. Just long and straight par 4 and 5s.
Besides that every 10 minutes a freaking airplane is landing no less than 100yards from your position. Some are quiet, others sound like theyre going to nose dive into you at any moment!
Absolutely ridiculous and dangerous!
On 14 I hit a drive albeit, not on purpose but, the ball apexed OVER A LANDING PLANE!!!!!!
Honestly, what kind of hazard is that ?!?
Silly layout, wont be back.
Worst Golf Experience Ever
This course was by far the worst course I’ve played in a long time maybe ever. If you are looking for a miserable round look nowhere else. The pace of play was the worst I’ve ever seen. 6+ hour round waiting 5+ mins on every shot. Sprinkler heads in the middle of every green, couldn’t tell the difference between the rough or fairway. Tee boxes look like the Rocky Mountains. No flat tee box in site. For the price it is an absolute scam. Could not have had a worse time.
Firt Time
The course was great because it was dry, however, thought it was a little expensive as I could not figure out how to select the senior button on GolfNow, regardless, I enjoyed it very much.
Disappointing Course
This course is quite disappointing. The starter showed no interest in grouping singles together. The lack of rangers was evident due to the extremely slow play. An attempt to get a drink and snack on the turn was pointless as the person running the proshop was also the bartender. I tried the vending machine (drinks only) but it took only singles. No CC option or currency above $1 bills. I would not bother going here again the next time I’m in town.
