Worst Golf Experience Ever
This course was by far the worst course I’ve played in a long time maybe ever. If you are looking for a miserable round look nowhere else. The pace of play was the worst I’ve ever seen. 6+ hour round waiting 5+ mins on every shot. Sprinkler heads in the middle of every green, couldn’t tell the difference between the rough or fairway. Tee boxes look like the Rocky Mountains. No flat tee box in site. For the price it is an absolute scam. Could not have had a worse time.
Firt Time
The course was great because it was dry, however, thought it was a little expensive as I could not figure out how to select the senior button on GolfNow, regardless, I enjoyed it very much.
Disappointing Course
This course is quite disappointing. The starter showed no interest in grouping singles together. The lack of rangers was evident due to the extremely slow play. An attempt to get a drink and snack on the turn was pointless as the person running the proshop was also the bartender. I tried the vending machine (drinks only) but it took only singles. No CC option or currency above $1 bills. I would not bother going here again the next time I’m in town.
Had to pay extra on GolfNow
At the pro shop, the fee was 5 dollars less ($22) for a senior walking 9.
GolfNow overcharges
I've played Norwood CC many times. GolfNow charges a $2 fee per person, plus they overcharged me as a senior walking 9 another $2 over what is charged at the pro shop.
Golf experience at Norwood Country Club
The conditions of the course were in average shape. The greens were dry. The fairways were decent. My golf partner and I enjoyed the round of 18 holes.
Upset
We got pushed back 30 minutes for a few delay and then got called in after hole 14 for sundown- there was plenty sun left to finish. I didn’t even ask about a rain check or some compensation because I knew I wouldn’t even want to come back.
Not good.
Greens were in such terrible shape, huge gulleys in some of them burnt out on others. Also they make you book a tee time on here and then when one of your guys doesn’t show you get screwed out of the tee time. I don’t want to be reimbursed in hot deals only between Monday and Thursday before 3 in 20 dollar increments. I want to not have to pay for all my buddies and when one doesn’t show be on the hook. So yeah that’s how I feel.
This course went from being nice to awful
This course used to be a lot nicer! Whoever manages it now has ran it into the ground. In additional to dirt showing everywhere and greens half green and half sand, there are spots on the course that look like a herd of cows licked! This is what incompetent management does to anything and especially to a golf course. If you pay more than $10 to play 18 holes, you are paying too much! It’s that bad!
