Hawk Hollow Championship Golf Course - Back 9/Front 9

I selected a afternoon tee time (2:15) which they had quite a few from 2:00 thru 3:30 thru GolfNow. When we arrived around 1:45 they said we could tee off right away but we had to play 1 thru 9 and then make the turn to hole 19 (27 holes) . When we got to hole 7 we had a marshal come up to us and say you better start hurrying up leagues are starting in 15 minutes at that point I was playing pretty well, but you know what happens when you start to rush your game your game starts to go south and that's what happened. We made the turn to hole 19 and things got worst this 9 holes (19 thru 27) is very very difficult and when the golf course tells you too hurry you don't stand a chance to play well. I got very irritated with my game and the course and GolfNow for not telling us their course would be filled up with leagues, but then we had a different marshal come by and I explained to him how I felt about rushing my round and not being told about the leagues play he was very understanding and said if you like to play additional holes on us you can tee off number 10. He said that was his favorite 9 holes to play and guess what he was right 10 thru 18 are some of the pretties holes at Hawk Hollow a must to play, but don't trust GolNow to tell you anything other than we have a tee times available. Live and learn (the hard way) and call the course before heading out and ask if they have leagues that night you may want to think about playing somewhere else.

Hawk Hollow is a beautiful course with a very friendly and professional staff. It was not crowded on this weekday and though our golf left a lot to be desired, the course did not! We would have returned the following day if a tee time had been available.

Some very narrow holes and some surprises. Good time was had…the drive took its toll thou.

Four friends from High School met up to play a around of golf at a central location, what a great time and excellent golf course. From the start normal delay at first tee as another group headed out. From then on no waiting or being pushed by group behind, pace was smooth and flowed well.
The greens are in excellent shape, fast and smooth undulation form. Definitely will repeat play at Hawk Hollow!

Played Eagle Eye last year and wanted to try the sister course. Hawk Hollow has 3 nines and I started with the hardest 9 - the last set.this course is more manageable than Eagle Eye- few lateral hazards or other tricks down the stretch. The greens were in good shape with some unexpected subtleties that kept one guessing.

If you have to choose between the two courses, I recommend that you choose Eagle Eye. In my opinion that is the more interesting and challenging course.

If nobody told you, there is a lot of water and thick rough to loose balls in . The course is a very popular place to play

hawk hollow is a wonderful course both in terms of conditions and layout...the greens are absolutely perfect; the rough is challenging; the fairways are a carpet...i'd play here every day if i lived in the lansing area

My first experience with Hawk Hollow was a memorable one indeed. The fog was thick right before our tee time which restricted the view of the course. Once the fog lifted right before we teed off, the beauty of the course was revealed and what a sight to see. The skillful layout of the course made the round challenging but not difficult which made the game enjoyable for both the experienced golfers and our novice golfer. Hawk Hollow is a great place to play, well worth the money.

Always a challenging layout. Difficult par 3's are fun to play. Greens were in excellent condition.

My friend and I were paired up with another two some of really nice guys, who as it turned out were very close to our skills level. The four of us agreed we would all like to come back and play all 27 holes on one day. In order to do so one would have to make a very early tee time as the course does have league play in the afternoons. The course while difficult is very fair and immaculately groomed. The only very minor set back was the blt sandwich in the grill left much to be desired in the tomato and lettuce departments. My friend and I will definitely come back and play Hawk Hollow again.

I used to live about 10 min from the course and played it multiple times. I now live in Florida and I always try to play this course when I come home! One of the best!!!!

Great course. Great conditions. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

The 4 of us had a great outing. Nearby everything.
Only issue was there was only 1 person in the food & beverage area inside the club house. Made it challenging in getting are food between 9's.

Real nice track in super shape for a public course. The greens ran well and true. A little more non filled in divots than desired so golfers please use the mix to fill your divits..... Its not hard ... Just do it!

Will go back next time I am in town.

The course was in great condition, the greens were fast and true. Just remember your bug spray as mosquitoes were out in force.

Course was in good condition given that it was early spring. There was an outing on the course as well, which caused us to wait on every shot. Would have liked to see a ranger on the course to speed things up. Overall one of the best courses in the Lansing area. I will definitely be back.

One of the best golf courses in mid-Michigan and can be played by any skill level. Awesome variety from hole to hole and always fun no matter how many times you have played it!

Played H.H. for first time on Easter. Great spring day, course was starting to green up. One of the best greens to putt on! Even in early spring. Nice course.

This course is consistently good. Pace of play can get a bit slow because of the difficulty of the course, and that it is frequently busy. It is still worth it though, as the greens are really good and the course is always in good condition.
