Stow South at Stow Acres Country Club

Friendly staff and a very well maintained course. Greens were near perfect.

Before I make this place sound bad I need to point out that I booked round to be able to play with my friend who was already set to play here at specific time. The staff was great; one of the best I have encountered in the many courses I have played and the layout was great; challenging but played to my draw. My issue is that rate was full price. I learned once on North course that half the holes were sold to a developer and as a result you could tell they have not been taking care of these holes; most of the fairways had a lot of bare spots and bunkers were awful! Full rate based on this seems wrong to me but I want to finish that due to staff good chance I may try the south course some day.

Growing up in this part of Massachusetts, Stow was always considered a premier public course. Boy, has that changed. The golf carts are falling apart, fairways are spotty at best, tees are mostly dirt and the cart paths are downright dangerous. My wife and I now live in Florida and looked forward to playing a quality New England golf course. What a disappointment.. The North course is worse than the South course. I am sorry for this lousy review but it’s obvious Stow needs an infusion of capital and a good grounds keeper.

Had great round. Weather was right in the zone. Really put my irons to the test on fairways. Lots of tricky shot angles on doglegs and sloping tee to green shots. I enjoyed the variety of shots created by the course layout.

Tee boxes need some work, some of the greens also need some work, one of the workers stated the south course is in better shape

Was on time. The course was in excellent condition. The greens were rolling very smooth

and looking very good.

Challenging course , greens are in great shape with some difficult breaks. The rough grass was long , only thing that wasn't great was the cart had issues and had to exchange on the turn but otherwise a great course. I would definitely go back.

You cannot play golf on this course any longer. Used to be ok, but they have decided to stop maintain the tee boxes, fairways and greens. Very sad. They still charged up $89, which would be ok if it were still a playable golf course, but it is not.

I understand we’re in aa mini drought but the course is just dirt .

Tee boxes crabgrass if any grass at all .

But I will say the greens got watered , but still not cut..

Don’t waste your time or your money.
