Stow South at Stow Acres Country Club

Course is tight and fun to make shots on but a caution to those wanting to walk the south course. The back nine feels like you're hiking up a mountain on every hole. I would reccomend getting a cart.

North course was in great shape. Much better than last couple years - especially the greens.

The cart paths are in horrible condition. The carts themselves are piston engine relics

The fairways are in good condition. The area just outside the fairways nees to be better maintained,

I've been playing Stow for years, and this was first time out on South Course since @2021. They were aerating front nine, so started on back. Fairways and rough needed mowing. The greens were decent. Front nine was newly aerated. They had mowed the fairways but rough was still way too thick. A few holes were almost unplayable. #3, a short par 4, was played as a a par three due to the wet condition.

I like both course layouts and acknowledge the problem with ground conditions due to all the rain. Still, other places in the area have managed better. The great Hot Deal rate saved the day and I'll give it another try in the summer when things have dried out.

Grass was green, greens were soft, and I was surprised at how nice the course was for mid-December in Mass.

I also only saw 2 other golfers all day on the South Course so I was able to rip around the 18 in under 3 hours.

My only issues is that there were a lot of leaves in places and no tee markers so I wasn't always sure where to hit from, but in the end I scored well and didn't even lose a ball.

Stow North Course keeps getting better, maintenance shows steady work on greens and traps. Layout is ok if you like doglegs left, keep your 180 yard lob wedge handy. Staff and food are good also. Best part was no leaves or acorns in play on a calm day.

The course was in good condition considering the rain we had. I also appreciate that they had blown off the leave making it easier to find my ball.
