Stow North at Stow Acres Country Club

Greens were in terrible shape where putting was impossible to get a nice roll. Fairways not much better. My round was for fun, but I had to move my ball to better spots a lot. Not much fun at all. Pace of play was not good too! 3 hours for 9 holes is unacceptable. Wait on every hole. Did not see a ranger the whole time to speed things up. Played here many time and the course has been in pretty good shape. Not sure what's going on, but not sure I want to play here any more under these conditions. Price is on the high end and I've played on other courses in much better shape for a lower price.

The course has seen better days … it used to be the cats meow .. now it’s the dogs bark …some of the greens are in pretty rough shape.. some of the fairways too .. but it’s a great layout and I love the course overall …. I don’t know what happened to it .. used to be pristine … anyway ..

Course was in good condition. Greens could be faster but otherwise it was a good value as a $49 hot deal including cart. I will be back.

I can see why this course has been used for both top Amateur and Professional Tournaments since it has a great layout and long hitters will be challenged with some narrow fairways and water hazards. The golf staff was friendly and the restaurant was well maintained and had a good variety of food and beer. The greens could be cut shorter as they were on the slow end. We are currently in the middle of an extended heat wave so this may be the reason. The pace of play was average except for a slow foursome of senior players on the back nine. Overall I enjoyed this course and plan to play there again this season.

There were no ladies tees. The women hit off the green tees learners tees, which only provide a 20 yard advantage. Greens needed to be mowed and were super slow.

My son and I look forward to playing this course. This time was an extreme let down. Loud construction going on when I arrived, and though the counter staff was friendly, the starter was less so. When I went to use the bathroom, it was dirty, and one of the stalls was disgusting!!! The round ended after we had been out over 5 hours! It may be a while before we return!

The course isn’t horrible itself, but for $70+ and to be so backed up with no rangers is absolutely insane. Bunch of Sunday hacks. If you’re under a 15 handicap, spare yourself from this course.

Course is tight and fun to make shots on but a caution to those wanting to walk the south course. The back nine feels like you're hiking up a mountain on every hole. I would reccomend getting a cart.
