How does this place get such high ratings?!!
It was my first time here and this is my first review. I decided to play this course after seeing how highly it was rated on this website (and now I really question all the ratings) and because of that I signed up to alert anyone else that might be thinking of playing here. If this is the only course you can play, then I would understand why you would play here. For us, it was the only one we could get on at the last minute.
Looking out across the street at the course from the clubhouse, it looks like it is going to be a very nice course. The 2 holes I can see have nice undulations and rolling fairways. However, looks can be deceiving. We played the East/West. If you like courses where every hole is jammed next to the other then this is the course for you. The tee boxes are too close to the greens, the holes are too close to each other and the condos are much too close to the course as well. On some tee boxes they are no more than 10 feet away. You can hear traffic for much of the round as well. It was flat. Maybe I was looking at the South course when I saw the undulations.
It was VERY slow. On one par 3, there were 3 groups on the tee. I've been playing for 30 years and have worked at courses when I was younger and have never seen that before. I can't imagine that was normal, but it was certainly noteworthy. I expected it to be busy in this day and age, but I never expected that. Our round took 4.75 hours and we had to wait on every shot. Perhaps this is unusual here, but we won't be back again to find out. Come to think of it, with the Covid-19 policies and having to space tee times out further than usual, I have to wonder why it was so crowded? Maybe they aren't following the guidelines. Our cart was dusty and didn't look to be cleaned.
The price is a little high at $45. I think $35-$37 would be more appropriate. The fairways were hard as were the greens. The practice green is a small area with 4 holes and about 8-10 feet from the road.
The staff was friendly.
Fantastic course, fun and challenging, well conditioned, fine pace with 27 hole layout, offers lots of variety as well. No driving range kind of a bummer, but the extra nine holes makes up for that. I would recommend any golfer of any skill level play here. Very affordable green fees as well.
Thank you for your feedback! We hope to see you again later this year.
Always fun to play
This is one of my favorite courses on the west side. I like the fact that there are 27 holes and you can mix it up a bit. The West is the most challenging course and will chew up a few golf balls if you're not careful. The East and South are a great combo for a quick 18 on a nice day. There is a couple of par 3's that will test your skill and a few holes where the water comes into play. Overall this course is a lot of fun.
Still very nice shape
Played all 3 courses still great shape, not crowded pace was fast good day....
The course offers challenges
Well maintained fairways and greens. Undulating fairways and sloping greens, all guarded by trees, bunkers and water make the course fun and worth playing.

We apologize that your round had to be cancelled. In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 Canton Township has closed all of their facilities including our golf course until April 5th. We do hope you'll give our facility a shot later this year.
