West at Warren Valley Golf Course
About
Warren Valley Golf Club in Dearborn boasts two 18-hole courses designed by Scottish architect Donald Ross. The courses are some of Ross' first designs in Michigan. The par-71 West and par-72 East Courses both have traditional layouts that sprawl across rolling hills before settling along the banks of the Rouge River. There are several scenic holes on both courses that play alongside and across the river. The West Course has tree-lined fairways but they are generous and the greens are open and inviting. Tricky doglegs are shaped by the trees or the river. The river comes into play more on this course than the East, on seven holes to be exact. The bunkering is minimal but there is a surprising variety of elevation changes that will keep you on your toes.

Course conditions are bad
For not getting any play for a month and a half, the conditions here are terrible. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, standing water, etc. At best, some areas have fair conditions, but there are awful conditions in many places. Course needs a tremendous amount of work. I won't be back anytime soon.
Great muni. Not the most challenging, not in perfect condition, but I have fun every single time I play here.
last round of the season
Had a great time, I wish the traps where repaired and it would be a five star course!
ALWAYS A GREAT TIME!
Love these Donald Ross-designed courses. I'm playing there again tomorrow, too.
Wonderful Courses
We played the Front East and then the Front West. Both courses are a lot of fun. The staff always tries to accommodate us and move us to the best nine available to avoid slow play.
Awesome round
Teed off a 6:40 and in the car at 8:42 (18 holes). Great round. Will be back.
Warren Valley Is Always Great
Love both the east and west courses. Never short of challenges here.
Average course
I have played nicer courses for the same money. The greens were VERY slow.
Player Management
no organization of players
when they have League playing one of the 18 holes course
They can manage better
My Home Course
I live 20 miles from the Warren Valley Golf Courses but would prefer the drive to playing most anywhere else in the metropolitan Detroit area. The only change I would welcome would be a serious restoration and upgrade of the original Donald Ross designed traps.
GREAT DAY
IT WAS ONE OF THOSE DAYS THAT IT WAS GREAT TO BE PLAYING GOLF!!!!!
Classic
The starter Smokey will start you off in a good mood so don't be afraid to chat with him for a minute. I prefer the West over the East but you can't go wrong playing either.
Lots of History
Course has been a favorite of our family for years. We only get back to town once a year but always try to get in a round at Warren Valley. Prefer the West course.
My go to course
I like the challenges and it's a good course for sharpening your game. The staff is helpful and friendly.
