Fenton Farms Golf Club
About
Fenton Farms Golf Club is a public, 18-hole course that has roots that date back to the 1930s when it and Lake Fenton were known as Long Lake. The course has been known as a variety of names over the years but it has long been a local favorite and referred to by many as "the friendly place." The original barn that belonged to the Crane family, the founders of the original club, was converted into the current clubhouse. The classic design of the golf course is gentle enough for beginners but there are risk-reward opportunities that more advanced players will enjoy. Mature trees line the well manicured fairways and there are water hazards on a few holes.

Great course
As I said the course was in great shape, Staff very friendly, and very relaxing time never felt pressured on course.
Fenton Farms is the place to play!
The course layout is fantastic and the staff is extremely friendly!
Good Value for the Money
Good deal on GolfNow. Pace was quite slow. No Marshall was present to keep things moving. The greens were also a bit too shaggy for the top condition rating. Hopefully both items will be fixed soon.
Great Value Course
The weather was nice, staff friendly, pace of play fastt(3 1/2 hours) and the price was great! The greens could use a little work after a rough winter but overall it was a great day of golf. I will be back to play again this summer.
Well kept
The course seemed well maintained. The par 3s are a little long for the average hitter. (You'll lose a ball on the back nine if you can't hit your tee shot 160 yards in the air!)
The greens are fairly small, but the slopes and the grain of the greens are pretty consistent and therefore fairly easy to read.
Relaxing golf
My stepdad and I visited this course. It was my first round there. The staff was great! The course is very well maintained. But, like every other course after this winter, it's greens had some dead spots. No big deal though.
Pace of play was slow. That's okay with me. I prefer to think about my shots and take good swings rather than run through a course before I can enjoy it. There was an older foursome in front of us. We didn't need to play through, so we didn't push up on them. We just let the pace of play be what it was.
Two thumbs up for this course!
Old School Course
Course was in top condition, even on a rainy day in late fall. Will play this one again and bring my wife. A good course for the ladies as there are not many hazards to carry.
Late October Golf at Fenton Farms
Very nice conditions for this time of year. Leaves had recently been cleared.. Greens in very good conditions and fast. Nearly healed from aeration, as well. Classic style course (1930). Enjoyable round, even though it was in the 40's!
first time
A little slow in play, good course, overall good. Course in great shape.
This course is interesting & challenging .
We had great weather and enjoyed the condition the course was in. It's been quite a while since we last played here and will play again IF they arrange SENIOR Ladies tees. The present forward tees were to long for my wife. The price thru Golfnow made this an excellent value. Thks
very nice facility
There is a nice practice area/driving range on site. The course is well maintained and very playable by golfers of all skill levels.
Course in great shape
We hadn't played here in a while and were pleasantly surprised at how well the course was kept.
Very nice course
Enjoyed playing Fenton Farms. We will definitely golf the course again.
The couse is in Excellent Shape
It was our first time playing Fenton Farms and found the course in excellent shape. The weather was great and the speed of play was good. We backed up on one hard par 3 but things opened up pretty quick after that hole. We will return and play the course again.
Enjoyed our experience!
Over all, the course was in great shape and well maintained. Fairways were trimmed nicely and easy to play from. The greens were pretty soft and the ball rolled smoothly. The staff was excellent!
Nice little course!
I live close to this course and play it a few times a year. The course was in really great shape. The rough was a little on the brown side, but overall very good conditions. I couldn't ask for better fairways or greens from a course that is a little off the beating path.
Great Course Very Well Manicured
I have played this course for years but not as much recently. The course has always been well taken care of. After my last round, I had to ask myself why am I not out here more. The management and greens crew to a very good job. If you have never played here before make sure to do soon.
Nice local course with some challenges.
I am regular league golfer at Fenton Farms. The course in great shape. It's not a long course but still requires accurate shots. There is a margin for recovery to help save your scores. The greens have slopes and undulations to challenge your short game. It's a well established course with a 60 year history. After your round the bar and food will satisfy your thirst and appetite.
Great local course to play
Fenton Farms has done a good job cleaning up the course and making it more user friendly and cutting back shrubs just where it was needed and allowing for faster play and less time looking for your ball. The greens are in great shape and are generous in size to score on. The tee boxes and wide and give a good area to find a suitable tee location. This is a local favorite of mine and always enjoy playing here.
