Fenton Farms Golf Club
About
Fenton Farms Golf Club is a public, 18-hole course that has roots that date back to the 1930s when it and Lake Fenton were known as Long Lake. The course has been known as a variety of names over the years but it has long been a local favorite and referred to by many as "the friendly place." The original barn that belonged to the Crane family, the founders of the original club, was converted into the current clubhouse. The classic design of the golf course is gentle enough for beginners but there are risk-reward opportunities that more advanced players will enjoy. Mature trees line the well manicured fairways and there are water hazards on a few holes.

Nice little course!
I live close to this course and play it a few times a year. The course was in really great shape. The rough was a little on the brown side, but overall very good conditions. I couldn't ask for better fairways or greens from a course that is a little off the beating path.
Great Course Very Well Manicured
I have played this course for years but not as much recently. The course has always been well taken care of. After my last round, I had to ask myself why am I not out here more. The management and greens crew to a very good job. If you have never played here before make sure to do soon.
Nice local course with some challenges.
I am regular league golfer at Fenton Farms. The course in great shape. It's not a long course but still requires accurate shots. There is a margin for recovery to help save your scores. The greens have slopes and undulations to challenge your short game. It's a well established course with a 60 year history. After your round the bar and food will satisfy your thirst and appetite.
Great local course to play
Fenton Farms has done a good job cleaning up the course and making it more user friendly and cutting back shrubs just where it was needed and allowing for faster play and less time looking for your ball. The greens are in great shape and are generous in size to score on. The tee boxes and wide and give a good area to find a suitable tee location. This is a local favorite of mine and always enjoy playing here.
Excellent kept course. Very very much improved conditions from tee to green.
Although the course is easy, from a players standpoint. It's a true test because of greens and course management. If you take it for granted you will not be happy. You still have to make quality shots and place the ball in good positions. If you miss the green on some of the holes, just mark double bogey.
Value
Using the golf now app on my smart phone I booked 18 holes for $10!!!! Easily the best deal of the year. The course is well maintained and the staff is courteous. I would recommend this course to anyone and plan on going back as much as possible.
Great value for a fun course
Can't beat the deal I got for 18. My only complaint is that some of the greens were patchy, but we got pounded with snow this winter, so most course are still recovering. The Marshall on the course was really nice and asked us multiple times how the round was going. I like those personal characteristics from course staff. This was the second time I played this course and I wasn't let down. The sign to the 13th hole was covered with tree branches, so we got a little lost, but that wasn't a big deal. Also, the fairways are tight, meaning you are playing towards the people on the next hole and they play towards you on multiple holes. I almost got pelted with a ball for the first time in my life and I mean by inches, but all-in-all I would recommend this course to others as a good place to play.
Mah
Course was is decent shape. Pace of play was a joke. At one point a threesome had the beer cart girl hitting at the green on a par3 and had the audacity to ask if they were holding us up. I'd say it's a $30-$35 course MAX and they need to schedule better. We waited at least 10 minutes to tee off on every hole except one.
Great round for money
Love this coarse... Great place for the money. Drainage could be better.
Good deal for the money
Course was in decent shape for all the rain we have had. Fairly easy course. Good deal for what I paid on golfnow. My only complaint, and this is fairly common on this course, Sunday afternoon takes forever to play. It will take at least 5 to 6 hours on a Sunday afternoon.
Fenton Farms
Great 'family' course. Staff was very professional. Enjoyed the round. Too close to I75... constant highway noise.
Great! A really nice experience.
Very well maintained course with just enough challenges to make it interesting. Played late October on a really nice day. Maintenance crew did an outstanding job with leaf removal. Staff very friendly. Would definitly go back.
Nice course.
We played on October 20, 2103. The greens had been recently airiated & were full of holes plus there were a lot of leaves which is expected this time of year. The trees were beautiful & we got a good deal so it was worth playing here.
Excellent Course for all Skill levels
Open fairways and forgiving greens make the course very accessible to newer players. Long holes and dog legs give enough challenge to veterans.
Hidden gem
I had played Fenton Farms once before but it had been awhile. I arrived with the printed voucher and was warmly greeted by the staff. They were friendly, courteous and very helpful. The course was in very good condition. The sand traps were manicured (I should know, I hit 5!) The course is fair but challenging.
Highly recommended.
Nice Course
Fenton Farms is a good course for the money and if you need a tee time when nothing else is available. The course is moderately challenging and maintained. The staff is friendly and pace of play is comfortable.
Established course, many mature trees.
Watch out for golfers teeing off on the par 3 tenth hole. Path from 18 goes right across their fairway. Course is in great shape, enjoyable.
Greens are fair and in great shape.
A little bit of a drive but worth it, staff very friendly, conditions outstanding.
great greens
very nice course. The greens play just as the should. breaks are predictable.
