Stonehedge North Course at Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort
About
Situated in the beautiful lake region of southwest Michigan, Gull Lake View Golf Club offers five scenic championship courses. The quality and variety offered by the courses and their convenient location less than three hours from Detroit, Toledo, and Chicago, have made Gull Lake a favorite destination for golfers from all over the Midwest, Great Lakes, and even parts of Canada. It is also only about an hour from Grand Rapids, Lansing, and Fort Wayne. Stonehedge North is the newest of the five courses. The diverse layout combines wide-open holes that play across grassy, windswept meadows with forested holes that feature dramatic elevation changes. The golf course consists of six par 3s, par 4s, and par 5s each, which also makes it an excellent scoring course for all skill levels.

Always great
Can't believe how empty the course was on a Sunday afternoon
What a great course!
Beautifully maintained course. Every thing was in excellent condition. Nice blend of difficulty. Loved the 6 each of par 3,4,and 5s. Each hole gave options. Completed 18 holes in 3 hours on a Friday afternoon. Now if only I could shake the slice...
Great course, I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys a challenge
Great course lots of variability and opportunities to score well and be challenged.
Great Course
Great Course I love this course. It is in incredible shape for thistime of year. I have been playing this for a while. It has a great mixture of holes. Very beautiful in the changing fall colors. There are some water holes.
This courses lay out made it fun and challenging!
I really liked th 6 par 3, 6 par 4, 6 par 5. It was different than any course I have played before. Courser was in great shape for October golf.
Beautiful golf course.
This is a great value for a very nice golf course. The front nine is good for warming up to get ready for a more challenging back nine. Beautiful views and the course is very well maintained.
Beautiful course with great layout.
Six par fives, six par fours, six par threes. Love the layout. Risk reward makes the course a lot of fun.
A very nice course in great condition!
My son and I played on Sat. afternoon and the pace of play was great. The course was in great shape and we will definitely play it again.
BUSY !!!!
Busy....packed...I had to ride shotgun with total stranger....guess they dont have enough carts. Wouldn't drive 50 minutes for again...EVER !!
Scenic and well maintained
Great course for the money, lots of scoring opportunities with a short course, but keeps you honest with well-placed bunkers and lots of tight doglegs. Would play this course anytime.
Stonehenge north(Gull Lake)
This is a great corse, easily the best course I played all year! Everybody I talked to said they really liked it. The north course is easy on the eyes and fun to play. It has 6 par 3, 4, & 5s. I here the south course is more challenging and just as beautiful. I played my best round this year! Happy happy!
Excellent Value
Beautiful course, well maintained. Very nice Ranger. Pro-Shop staff very good.
Nice course, not as challenging as the south course.
Very well maintained golf course, wide landing area's on every hole. Greens could be faster as they were a little slow, but overall a nice course.
Stonehedge North is just plain FUN
We played the North 18 at Stonehedge. The setup is different than the average par 72, in that there are 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's, and 6 par 5's. If you like to swing the big stick, choose this course, because you won't get much of an opportunity on the South (which is equally fun to play, but they're very different from one another).
This is a great course for mid-level players, as the fairways are wide, and unless you're slicing or hooking terribly bad, you'll usually be able to find your ball and have a decent shot in the general direction of "toward the hole."
The par 3's range from short & simple to long & difficult. The greens are large, fair, and roll true.
I can't say enough about how well the course is maintained, given how much play they get. Our foursome played a cart-scramble, and we played pretty fast - about a 4.25 hour round during weekend mid-afternoon with a small break at the turn to grab a pre-made sandwich and pop from the snack shack.
Stonehedge North is one of my favorite courses, not just in SW Michigan...it's one of my favorite courses to play, period. Definitely worth checking out.
Like playing up North
This was the first time on this course for me and it was really quite great. They were super packed on a Friday afternoon but the pace kept up fine. We have had a lot of rain this year so the course was in great shape, although I thought the greens were a little slow. Being out on the North course reminded me of playing golf up North. If you like courses in the middle of nowhere that are absent of houses and roads, this is a great place to go!
Its a great course for the price we paid.
The course is one of my favorite layouts. It features 3 par threes, par fours, and 3 par fives on each nine holes. The back has some nice elevation features and the course was in great shape. The greens were a little slow but that is likely to all of the rain recently. The greens were soft and very receptive even for longer approach shots.
I am a 15 handicapper and the north course is a little more playable ( it has wider landing areas than the south course) If you are a low handicap golfer you might enjoy the tighter tree lined courses on the south 18.
My playing partner really enjoyed this course and is in his "top 5" courses in southern Michigan.
Liked the stone fence borders
Both north and south courses were in excellent condition. South course has tighter fairways compared to the North course.
First time at this course
This is a fun course for many skill levels due to the multiple tees to choose from.
Enjoyed the day!
I have never goled this course before, and I truly enjoyed the experience. We will definitely go back.
Grass was in great condition, greens were well maintained and groomed and consistent.
Challenge was good, didn't have to be a sub 5 handicap to enjoy the course. I played it with my twin 11 year old boys and they were treated excellent and had no issues for them either.
We will return.
Very well maintained course
The day we played the greens were a little slow but I do believe it is because of the recent heat 90 degree days you can't blame them for letting the grass grow a little longer so they don't burn up. This is a very nice and well maintained golf course.
