Tamaracks Golf Course

This course was more challenging than it appeared with lots of water and bunkers. Course was in good condition with a very accommodating staff. The course seems to be short staffed regarding the carts. They need lots of attention as in cleaning and waxing . Overall a great day of golf with friends an excellent burger after.

We had a fantastic time playing The Tamaracks. Would recommend this course to anyone.

For Northern Michigan golf, you can't beat this value! These are some of the best greens I've played on in years at any course. It is however on the shorter side in comparison to other courses but it's always paced really well and the staff and ownership are super friendly and make it a joy to come back to!

The course was great. It was one of 3 we played over the holiday weekend and our first time at this particular course. Lots of water, which made it challenging and fun. 18 is crazy but awesome. It was the only hole that I didn't have a sporting chance of clearing the water. This is my 4th summer playing. My husband I will definitely be coming back.

Thought course was in very nice shape. Greens above average. Diverse hole layout but somewhat short from white for above average player. Blues tees would be more for lower handicap player. Woods were clean. Able to find errant balls easily. Best value I've seen in long time!

I've been playing this course for years. It's got a great up north feel with all the pine trees. The staff is very friendly. The layout has a good mix to it. There are nicer courses in the extended area, but for the price, it is hard to beat Tamaracks.

Highly recommended.

One caution, on holiday weekends, they can pack the course pretty full. When I'm out during those days, I anticipate throwing back a few extra beverages.. ;)

Tamarack is a great course to play. Some very challenging holes and nice layout make this a favorite.

Was pleasantly surprised. Tight fairways but trees were trimmed to chip out, not long holes but many were "placing" typeshots. Par fours were half 3 wood & half w/driver. good water challenges. really nice mature wooded course.

I just hit my one year anniversary of playing golf...last week I had my personal best on 9-holes on a course nearby. The nice guy working the desk warned me that probably won't happen today (it's much tougher)...but I ended up with my best 18-hole score yet! I know this has nothing to do with the course itself, but it leafy me with a great feeling! I think the difficulty level was perfect! Not too far one way or the other, challenging without being a headache and easy enough to not be boring! The staff was friendly. The guys hanging out in the club house on the turn were friendly. It was just an overall great day! I'll be back!

Check one box for the scenic route. Every type of Michigan tree had to be on this course. More than half the holes had water on them. The biggest knock would be the length of some par 4's were not too long; however, the water and hills made up for it. Pleasantly surprised and will play again!

We took advantage of a Hot Deal. Great course for the price. Not very long, however, the challenge is still there, lots of water, sand and woods. The greens were fast and in good shape. A great day and look forward to returning.
