Dunham Hills Golf Club
About
Dunham Hills Golf Club is situated amidst rolling hills and mature trees. The course is a demanding, but fun test of your skills. The topography presents challenging elevation changes throughout the course but accurate shots will be rewarded with level lies. The undulating fairways and lightning fast greens provide a variety of different shot options that will please the skilled shot-maker. Be prepared to utilize every club in your bag. Accuracy is essential on every hole in order to avoid the unpleasant lies that lurk beneath the hardwoods and pines but the trick is to keep the ball on the fairway. The layout opens with a tree-lined par 4 that is representative of the entire golf course. This tricky hole features a single bunker placed in front of a green that is sloped left to right.

Sloping fairways
I played here before and liked it. When we got there they were aerating the greens on the front so we had to play the back twice. I tried to get a refund but couldn't. I did like the 9 we played.
Underrated challenging course.
Dunham Hills is a fun course. It is challenging (especially from the tips) and has fast and well manicured greens. One of my favorites to play on the Golfnow circuit in Metro Detroit. Worth the drive to Hartland
Narrow fairways!
A great challenge albeit the greens were a bit fast the first time I played this course. Will definitely play it again.
Terrific Staff - Superb Course
Well maintained - excellent condition - variety of holes with variety of challenges. The friendliest staff you will find on any golf course in Michigan. Just a great golf experience that you must try when in the area.
Beautiful course!
Been there there three times. People were great and friendly. Play was fast and people were very nice. would play there again in a heartbeat!
Best public course in Michigan
Still the best value and best public course in the state.
Beautiful scenery in a playable course
We love Dunham Hills, the course was in excellent condition. The holes are breathtaking with elevated tees and rolling fairways. Up north look in a lower MI course.
Course is very narrow; trees need a good sized trimming
First time at this course. Staff was nice and overall the course was in pretty good condition. Pace of play was slow as too many groups/golfers that had no chance of reaching par 5's in two were waiting hit their second shots. Biggest room for improvement though is to give a thorough trimming to the trees; especially though hanging out over the relatively narrow fairways. It should be a rare occasion when a ball sitting in the fairway has a tree interfering with the next shot. When this course was first built, the trees were scarce. In the '70's and '80's they filled in nicely I'm sure. It's time to trim them back somewhat now to make the course more playable (and speed up play). Another suggestion would be to have a practice putting green that has some undulations more similar to greens on the course. Overall, it was a good (not great) experience.
Old style course. Challenging.
Beautiful course with lots of old growth trees - especially pretty in the fall.
Fairways lined with trees- calls for accuracy off the Tee. Few flat lies on the fair ways.
Undulating and tough Greens.
Can be really slow weekend mornings.
