Horrible Experience
I arrived 15 minutes before my tee time - was informed that all tee times had been cancelled for the remainder of the day - apparently due to rain that had previously come through. Was told that all golfers were notified, however I did not receive notification. I was informed that the course had notified GN that the booking was cancelled due to weather. When I went on-line to cancel the reservation, it indicated that I was not able to cancel the reservation.
Always love playing Hartland Glen
Always love playing Hartland Glen I really like both sides on Hartland Glen both north and south. The south was designed by George Duke. There’s been a lot of changes over the years that I made it slightly more friendly golfer wise. You don’t have to work the ball a whole lot. I do recommend that they shave the trees on 15 at least on the left side is you have to hit a dead street or it’s over. Other than that the course is very fair. The course conditions are really improved over the last year. So good recommendation golf courseQ
Needs some work
We were one of just a few groups on the course on a hot day. The greens were in great condition, very green and soft. The tee boxes on the other hand were horrendous. They aren't level, don't have much grass and some even have giant holes in them. The bunkers are completely unplayable. They are full of small and large stones. The sand itself is nearly concrete. With that said, it was very affordable and probably worth the money.
Terrible course
All of the cups on this course were filled with water. There were puddles on the green so you could not even putt. The tee box was in awful shape and this was a large waste of money. NEVER go here
Beautiful Day
Beautiful day on the golf course. Very quiet, great pace no pressure. Perfect
Bad shape
Very cheap round but the course is in bad shape. Binders are unplayable with eeeds growing out of them ABC the fairway is like the rough at better courses. Only play if you can get it cheap!
Challenging but fun
South course is very challenging-it kicked my butt however I really enjoyed it. I know where to go when I start playing better and want to do a rematch against myself.
Great experience
The course was in great shape. Minimal in the club house due to social distancing and pandemic restrictions. The greens were near perfect. Good speed, played straighter than they looked.
Nice course
Staff was able to provide separate carts due to covid crisis. Much appreciated. Wide fairways and open landing areas made this course a pleasure to play. Will be back
Slow play
the course was mostly in good shape although the tee boxes seem to be fairly neglected.
Played the north course for the first time in its entirety I definitely prefer the south.
The pace of play was very slow, unfortunately even though it is posted that unless you have permission you are not to have groups larger than 4 we got stuck behind 2 such groups and the ranger didn't seem capable of remedying the problem. I sympathize with him its my opinion the never should've been allowed to begin with large groups one of which had a small child among them.
Wonderful
Drove an hour to get there but was well worth the drive cllub hous folks were great the ladies in the lounge at the turn were friendly and quick, the south course was challenging bu the greens were perfect! Can’t wait OT go black and try the north!
I will never play this course again
Had a slow foursome in front of us, took 45 minutes to play 2 holes and the ranger came to us because the 2-some behind us had complained. The ranger did speak to the group ahead and we were allowed to play through. Things were much better until we made the turn and found that they had started at least one group off the back, and to make matters worse it was a group of SIX FRICKEN PEOPLE. A round of golf should not take just shy of 5 hours - and we skipped a hole! We saw no sense in complaining to the ranger on a golf course that knowingly sends people off the back right in front of people that paid to play 18 holes of golf. Total crap.
