About
Situated in southwest Michigan's beautiful lake region, Gull Lake View Golf Club offers five championship courses that are easily accessible from Detroit, Toledo, Chicago, Grand Rapids, and Lansing, making it a favorite for golfers from all over the Midwest and Great Lakes. It is also less than 3 hours from some parts of Canada. Gull Lake View West is the club's original course. The club is the oldest and largest in southwest Michigan and it all started with the West Course. Opened in 1963, the golf course has a traditional layout that offers a challenging but fair test. The natural terrain takes center stage on this course. The layout plays across grassy meadows, rolling hills, and valleys and there are also a few densely wooded holes. The diverse terrain calls for a variety of different shots as well as careful strategy.

Good conditions
I had a lot of fun playing this course. The greens were in great shape, especially this early in the season. The staff in the pro shop were extremely friendly.
Unique blend of challenges
The West course has a blend of challenging par 3's, dog legs, cut through the woods holes, uphill and downhill holes, reachable holes, and wideopen-grip it and rip it holes. The course is well manicured and a beautiful ride through the woods.
It is yet another "Great Scott" course to play !
tough course
For only being 6300 yards from the tips it played a lot longer. Many uphill shots to greens and most putts had large breaks. Still, overall it was a fun course but very difficult for the average golfer!

staff are very friends. we would like to play again when the weather nicer it was raining and cold that day.

Well worth the play....
Arrived for a 9:27 tee time. Welcomed by pro shop staff. Hit a few practice shots and headed to the first tee. Marshall got us off early and we played as a twosome. Played the front nine in 90 minutes. Arrived at 10th tee and marshall asked us if we wished to skip over to 15 as we had caught people in front of us. We played 15-18 and returned to play 10-14. Total time to play was 3 hours. Course conditions were excellent and variety of holes outstanding. Would highly recommend playing Gull Lake West.

A Great Day of Golf
four of us played the Gull Lake West course. The course was in excellent condition. The course challenged you with the hilly conditions and tricky greens. Beautiful scenery and beautiful weather made for an enjoyable round of golf. Would highly reccommend this course to anyone!

Gull Lake View West
The course was quite soggy due to all the rain we had been getting, but it is a beautiful course. You get the feeling like you are in northern michigan

Great Course
The course has a lot of terrain changes and a good test for any golfer. The pro tips allow you to navigate the holes and receive some member bounces!

Perfect day

Gull Lake View- West
For it being pretty early in the season, the course was in surprising shape! The fairways and roughs are great..the greens were still coming along, still pretty slow. I didn't know what to expect with this course because I've played the Stonehedge's and Bedford Valley which are owned by the same family but the West course seems to be just as nice and thought out as the other "bigger" courses.
There is so much undulation on this golf course. Definitely an old-school design with the green complexes. Combination of tough driving holes tough approach shots on several holes. The course seems longer than it is on paper. There are a few long par 3's to keep you focused.
I would definitely recommend Gull Lake View West.
