Good Value and beginner friendly
Pretty open and shorter course. The back 9 gives it the much needed pop with some decent elevation changes. Pretty sure the yardages are off on the scorecards and the tee signs so bring a range finder if you haven't played it before. Patchy fringes on a few.
Good for a first round of the year
Greens and tees could use some TLC. Staff was great! Don’t let my pace of play rating fool you, it was solely on the group in front of us. Sometimes 10-12 minutes between shots, they were wandering trying to find golf balls for way too long causing a log jam. Started at 11am for an Hour and a half on the front, finished with a 2-1/2 hour back 9. It got painful playing behind a group that, I don’t think knew that it’s ok to let people play through.
Fun place to play a round.
This course doesn't break the bank and is fun and challenging. Lots of blind zones so walking would probably suck as you have to move ahead to see if you are clear to play. For the price I was very pleased. Greens were in good shape and played well. The wife and I will be back.
Packed but fun
Course was well maintained and a fun course overall. There was just a lot of people which had us waiting at every tee box. Not a huge deal though
Good local track
Course had nice overall layout. Some tee boxes were close to another holes drive but greens were good. I would play this course again.
WORSE COURSE HAVE EVER PLAYED IN MICHIGAN
Would not recommend this course to anyone. Played with a buddy. Staff isn’t friendly. There is animal poop on the greens. There is clumps of grass all over the greens. The grass is not mowed good at all. Greens are in terrible condition. None of the tee boxes are lined up. There are weeds all over the tee boxes don’t even know where to hit from. They are charging way over price for the golf course. Poop in the tee boxes also. Don’t even know where to pull in at to get to the course. We should get a refund for the condition of the course. This course is not playable how it is. There isn’t one hole on this course in good condition. They definitely need to do something. Everything needs to be re done. Thanks
Great staff
We teed off an hour late due to a computer glitch. The staff did the best they could due to the circumstances. At least we still got to golf. The course has a lot of blind shots. Watch out for the people in front of you, as it's easy to hit up on them.
Nice course
This is not a very challenging course as long as you keep it straight you will be fine. Most holes you have a good chance of making pars again if you keep it straight. There are some hills and blind approach shots to some of the greens.
Hah
Funniest course in Michigan. Bring your wedge to each green - you may have to chip over weeds and native grasses that grow sporadically between your ball and the hole.
If the hole is a dogleg, do NOT hit a perfect drive with an appropriate amount of movement on the ball. Instead, make sure you completely toe-slice, or duck-hook the ball at a minimum of 120 yards offline... you'll be sure to find your ball sitting safely on the green... Now, go get your putter, and your wedge, and try to make your birdie while you debate on how to maneuver around that giant dandelion in front of your ball... if you end up 4-putting for bogey, don't be upset. That's a great score out at Highland Hills.
Staff in very cordial and respectful.
Good Course for the Price
This was a good course for not a lot of money. It was my first time here and didn’t know what to expect. I found the course to be in good condition (of course there’s been plenty of rain this year!). The fairways aren’t specially cut or maintained but the greens were very well kept. Some of the greens were small and there were minimal bunkers. The staff were all very friendly and they have a nice clubhouse with a small menu and full bar. I will return again.
Went after rain
We went in poor conditions but on a sunny day it would have been nice.
Course is a soggy mess tees are terrible and layout sucks. But its my home course so I play it. Wish they would put some time and money into it
Great staff. Poor course.
Let me start by saying that the staff is great. But honestly you only interact with a staff about 5% of your time there because you're playing. The course itself, is terrible. Even if you get a hot deal on GolfNow it's still not worth the money and your time oh, you will be disappointed if you do any golfing on a normal basis. The road coming in looks like you're going down the road of a scary movie the road is so bad. The lines that are mode on the course look like a six-year-old did it with a push mower. There are so many chatter bumps on The Fairway it is unreal, you don't even feel like you're driving on fairway grass. The greens were even worse, I felt like I was golfing or a patch of ground that I couldn't get to go grow grass in my yard. But again, the staff was great and the food and drinks are very reasonable pricing. But the course itself is probably top three worst courses I've ever played. The golf carts were from 1980s. This course really needs a huge makeover and new golf carts and could really be something nice out in the country but for now we won't step foot back there.
