The course played very fast.
Fast play, small greens. Course had some holes where your drive placement was very important. Could use some upgrading of cart paths, but for the price, a good value
Has ok layout and nice setting in the woods
Very small greens and slow ,poorly defind fairways too many non golfers playing had to skip hole do to slow golfers.
well taken care of
Great course, nice greens, my opinion, it's the best place around! !
Get what you pay for-
This course has small, flat greens. This course is mostly forgiving off the tee. It's not in great shape, but this course doesn't overcharge.
Greens are small and slow
Greens were very small.. Grass was shaggy on greens which made them very slow. Pace of play was excellent. Overall had a fun day of golf.
Slow greens
Very slow greens, can't tell fairways from ruff.
Staff was nice. could be really pretty
Great value for the money
The course and conditions are exactly what I expected for the money. It's a little rough but very playable. I would definitely play again. Staff was excellent and so was pace of play.
Short and Small.
The course was in good shape and staff was nice. The course is a little small, yet it had some nice elements. Pace of play was very very good around 8:00am. If you are looking for a nice place to play with a little challenge with very small greens and tight fairways and the ability to get in 18 quickly this is your place.
Maybe the worse course I have played
I lost balls in the middle of the fairway or just off the fairway. Even when I did find my ball fairway or not, the lie was difficult to play on. I play with my dad, he played the course before, he was embarrassed that he original suggested the course because of the condition that the course was in. The course looked to be deprived of water even though there is plenty of water on the course and grass was uncut. This was very disappointing.
Golf at highland hills
Greens and tee boxes close proximity and side by side holes. Was almost hit by another golfers shot on 5 different holes. Greens were in terrible shape and had alot of debri on them
A solid establishment
I haven't played much in the past few years, so I figured I'd play close to home. Staff is wonderful. Hadn't played here in many years, so it seemed new to me. Relatively easy course, though my inconsistencies shown through. Greens were a bit beat up from the long Michigan winter, but are coming about. The rain over the last couple of weeks made a few holes sloppy, but that wasn't even a problem. I caught a hot deal which overshadowed any issues with my game. I'll be back soon.
Wet and Wild
Some parts of the course were VERY wet, so wet we could not even drive a cart up the hill.
Not only were there a lot of hills, there were moguls on the hills, which made it rather difficult for average to below average golfers.
Nice Time
Very nice staff, easy to get around. Nice place to play and affordable round.
Good course for the fee.
Course is in good condition grass wise. The ground here is hard. A tee shot of 270yds ended up at just over 355 once it stopped rolling. I had a few shots from the fairway where the club actually bounced off the ground before I hit the ball, divots were almost impossible to come by. After the first few holes I just changed the club choice and tried to sweep the ball without a divot. Got a hot deal tee time so for $10 I can't complain too much.
Great value if under $25
I got 18 holes with cart on a Friday morning for $11 through Golfnow, their super deals or whatever its called. We have had a lot of rain so everything in the area is very green and fun to play right now. The markers are off so bring your range finder or GPS, the greens are small but that didn't bother me, and the staff was friendly. This was the perfect place for me to warm up for a round I had in the afternoon at a different course. I thought it was a great deal especially for $11. That's a bucket of balls at some places.
Better options
This course was okay playing it the one time, but I probably won't go back at least this season. There are simply better options in the area. If the drive isn't bad, and the price is right, then go try it.
Pretty easy course, could use some work.
Course pretty much wide open, greens in decent condition, fairways like hitting off hard cement, could not take a divot.
Cheap Golf & Friendly Staff
If you are looking for cheap golf during the weekend, this is the place. $15 hot deal for 18 holes with cart. You can't beat that. The course lay-out is tight. The greens are small (40 feet across), hard and rolls slow. The actual yardage on each hole is shorter than the score card indicates. The yardage book in the cart appears more accurate. The key challenges on this course are the blind tee shots, hilly fairways on the back-9, and small greens. Long hitters will love the par 5s and short par 4s. Bunkers were fluffy but with some gravel. There's only one person on staff to run the pro-shop and bar and she was really nice. No starter or marshall to manage the pace of play. Pace wasn't a problem for me on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
This course is a giant lie
The scorecard shows this course around 6200 yards but the GPS showed each hole to be 50-100 yards shorter than listed in the card and there was nowhere further back to put the tee box. This has to be on purpose because nobody can mess up that bad.
The greens we supper small most measuring around 40x30 TOPS.
Since the course was so tight it seemed like fairways practically crossed each other.
Other than that the course was very pleasant with nice elevation changes and in decent condition.
