Golfer Reviews
Back 9 has a good layout
Seniors can walk 18 for $11, weekday. Back 9 is interesting layout. Otherwise average at best.
highland hills
and hills it was. I had a great time & would love to come back and play it again (I know what to expect now)
Eh...
Course was under staffed, gentleman in the clubhouse was unaware of our booked tee time. Green speeds on the front were slow, but picked up on the back. Had heard good things about the course, but don't think I'll travel there again.
Golfers Etiquitte
This was the first time visiting this course. The front nine was nice and flat and the easier of the two nines. The back nine was very hilly with many hidden shots making it much harder than the front. It was very hard to see where the fairway and rough started throughout the course. The greens are small, which allows you to work on your wedges game. The one downfall of the day for are first experience was golfers hole hoping around the course. The pace of play was good on the front 9, but as we were finishing hole 11 a cart skipped in front of us and tees off on hole 12. They could care less that we were sitting in the cart at the tee box as they each teed off 3 tee shots each. This really put an end to the round we were shooting with having to wait as they hit multiple shots time and time again. I don't mind waiting to play when a course is busy, but not when people think nothing about other golfers and just do what they want. In all a good course to work on your short game and the deal we received through GolfNow could not the beat.
Highland Hills
This course is for beginner if you play a lot this is not the course for you it's a bit dumpy don't get me wrong there are some nice holes green are super small and very very slow the clubhouse was dirty did not want to order any food drinks were average price staff were friendly
Great for the price
Great for the price. Older course with some challenging holes
Poor
Greens and tee boxes never blown off. Rough was never blown so there were chunks of cut grass everywhere. Bunkers not raked in a day or two. Not clearly marked on how to navigate the course.
Good value
Really booked the wrong corse, was a long ride to get there. Tried to change to the other course with a similar name but was not able to. Was my mistake & have no hard feelings. Course was fine we played.
The course played very fast.
Fast play, small greens. Course had some holes where your drive placement was very important. Could use some upgrading of cart paths, but for the price, a good value
Has ok layout and nice setting in the woods
Very small greens and slow ,poorly defind fairways too many non golfers playing had to skip hole do to slow golfers.
well taken care of
Great course, nice greens, my opinion, it's the best place around! !
Get what you pay for-
This course has small, flat greens. This course is mostly forgiving off the tee. It's not in great shape, but this course doesn't overcharge.
Great value for the money
The course and conditions are exactly what I expected for the money. It's a little rough but very playable. I would definitely play again. Staff was excellent and so was pace of play.
Short and Small.
The course was in good shape and staff was nice. The course is a little small, yet it had some nice elements. Pace of play was very very good around 8:00am. If you are looking for a nice place to play with a little challenge with very small greens and tight fairways and the ability to get in 18 quickly this is your place.
Maybe the worse course I have played
I lost balls in the middle of the fairway or just off the fairway. Even when I did find my ball fairway or not, the lie was difficult to play on. I play with my dad, he played the course before, he was embarrassed that he original suggested the course because of the condition that the course was in. The course looked to be deprived of water even though there is plenty of water on the course and grass was uncut. This was very disappointing.
Golf at highland hills
Greens and tee boxes close proximity and side by side holes. Was almost hit by another golfers shot on 5 different holes. Greens were in terrible shape and had alot of debri on them
A solid establishment
I haven't played much in the past few years, so I figured I'd play close to home. Staff is wonderful. Hadn't played here in many years, so it seemed new to me. Relatively easy course, though my inconsistencies shown through. Greens were a bit beat up from the long Michigan winter, but are coming about. The rain over the last couple of weeks made a few holes sloppy, but that wasn't even a problem. I caught a hot deal which overshadowed any issues with my game. I'll be back soon.
