Chemung Hills Golf Club
About
Established in 1927, Chemung Hills Golf Club is one Livingston County's oldest courses. The classic design has withstood the test of time beautifully and it is still considered one of the area's toughest public courses. The layout stretches across lush, rolling hills that are dappled with mature trees. Chemung Hills is known almost as much for the beautiful scenery as it is for the challenging design, which is characterized by its elevation changes. The ups and downs on the course range from subtly tricky to dramatic and intimidating. The layout has a player-friendly mix of short and mid-length holes, even all of the par 5s are reachable. Though you may not need length, your shots will need to be straight and accurate. You'll face blind shots on several holes. Strong iron play will be generously rewarded on this tough golf course.

Great course and challenging.
Always a well groomed course. Great layout and challenging.
Great course for the money, too much rain lately, brutal rough
Chemung Hills is a very nice course with ideal temps in the mid-high 70's with 20-25 mph swirling wind but unfortunately we played it after three days of rain (rough very dense, long).
Given these conditions it was an extremely challenging afternoon to score well, and more than a few of these greens with their pin placements we'd say "where's the windmill and the clown?".
Great company for the afternoon made for an enjoyable day. I want a rematch!!!
Good layout, but…..
The course was pretty decent, there was a few areas that could use some love, but overall not bad. The part that almost makes me not wanna come back is that the course booked too many tee times and before we could tee off there was 6 carts lined up. I really wanted to enjoy a good time with my girlfriend, but the guy made us join another 2 sum, which I was not happy about. They need to split the tee times farther apart or keep the pace of play on a steady pace. Super frustrating and didn’t help for being my first time playing the course.

Good but slow
Course itself is very nice and well maintained for a good value. When I played there the starter mismanaged tee times, course played incredibly slow, and there were no rangers to ensure pace of play. Overall a good course to play, but expect to wait.
Good course, slow play
Course was nicely laid out but, they overpacked it and we had to play with another twosome. The ranger was rude to people.
Worth the drive...
Excellent layout and challenging at every set of markers. Greens can be BEASTLY given the days pin placements. Absolutely well thought out holes. Dynamic vistas. And always a memorable round at Chemung. It's a solid 4.5 star in my book.
I'll be back for sure
110% coming back, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, despite the course being very wet you could see it is very well maintained and the greens got fast as the course dried out. The layout was challenging while not being terribly unforgiving. Hard 10 outta 10.
Great course but some damage.
Great layout on all 18 holes...could use some repair but greens were great.
Good if you aren’t on a time frame
Went out on a Sunday and got stuck behind a 4 some with their kids. Got stuck out there for over five hours because they weren’t constantly hitting multiple times and looking for balls.
