Solid Course
Avid golfer and pretty critical about courses. Have played here early season and mid season. Very open course but that does NOT mean you can spray it. Rough and heather will humble you. Anything around $60-70 is decent value for this course.
Hidden gem! Literally
This is one of the best courses in Michigan hands down! The greens are as tough as Oakland Hills North I grew up on that so I know and if you hit it offline you're going to lose your ball. Problem is it's way out in the middle of nowhere-- so make a day of it. They do have some Airbnb on the course and near there that you can stay at if your are coming from out of town. It's a really great experience. And everybody was really friendly and the value is amazing!
NICE COURSE
VERY NICE COURSE, GENTLEMEN IN THE CLUB HOUSE WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. EVEN MADE A CALL TO HIS UPPER MANAGEMENT TO CONFIRM A PRICE OF TEES FOR ME AS THEY WERENT MARKED. APPRECIATED HIM ALOT. THE ONLY THING THAT STOPPED THIS COURSE FROM BEING A 5 STAR WAS 2 OF THE LAWN GUYS WHO WERE VERY RUDE AND TRUTHFULLY DISRESPECTFUL. WE WERE GOLFING ON A HOLE AND THEY WERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF US AND BESIDE US (WITHIN 20 YARDS) MOST THE HOLE. WE WERE 50 YARDS OUT FROM THE GREEN AND THE DUDE MOWING LITERALLY WAS DRIVING AWAY FROM US DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE GREEN. THE OTHER LAWN DUDE BESIDE US SAID "JUST HIT HES FINE" SO WE HAD TO CHIP OVER THE GUY MOWING WHICH MAKES IT HARDER TO COMPLETE THE HOLE. WE FINISH THAT HOLE AND GET TO THE NEXT TEE BOX AND LOW AND BEHOLD HERE THEY COME LOL. THEY PARKED LITERALLY 10 FT FROM THE TEE BOX AND SAT THERE AND CHATTED. WE ASKED IF THEY COULD PLEASE MOVE OR SHUT THE MOWERS DOWN AND THEY MADE IT VERY CLEAR THEY WERE NOT MOVING OR TURNING OFF THE MOWER. "THIS IS THE EQUIMENT THEY GIVE US WE CANT HELP IT" THE GUY BLAMED THE COURSE FOR GIVING HIM THAT MOWER WHEN ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS TURN IT OFF FOR A MINUTE. HE SAID HE CANT SHUT THEM DOWN THEY HAVE TO SIT IDLE BUT ALSO WOULDNT MOVE AWAY FROM US. NEVER EXPIERENCED THAT IN MY 4 YEARS OF GOLFING. THEY WERE OLDER AND MIDDLE AGED . MIDDLE AGE GUY WAS THE CHATTER BOX.
Great conditions
Conditions were very good for spring golf and their spring rates are a steal.
Spring Fling
Course wintered well. Greens and fairways are in excellent shape especially for late March.
This course is usually in great shape and they have added sand to the traps. Typically slow greens in the spring but they putt well.
Hats off to the maintenance crew course is looking nice!
Early Golf
Great golf course. One of my favorites. However, the course should not have opened. The greens were super slow. There is still a frost layer less than a foot down which does allow proper drainage as it thaws. It makes for spongey fairways and greens.
very nice links course
played this for the first time as a pretty new golfer. length and layout were perfect for me. the heather was still plenty deep late in the season and the rest of the course was well manicured.
the only issue i had was the first and tenth tees were just slightly confusing for me, but only took a couple minutes to figure out and staff was very friendly from the pro shop to the grounds crew.
Course is in top shape
Had great time playing this very well maintained course with top notch customer service in pro shop.
Pace of play was awesome and was able to finish 18 holes in 3:15 min.
Great track
My friend used GolfNow to get a deal on this course and invited me along. I hadnever played it, but it is a hidden gem. Greens were exceptional!! smooth and not areated as of 10/22/24. The layout is great as well. I love the contour of the greens. Not something you see a lot of in public courses in this area
