Hawk Meadows at Dama Farms Golf Club

About
Hawk Meadows at Dama Farms is worth the short drive from central southeast Michigan. It offers a challenging round for an affordable price with something for golfers of every skill level. The seemingly mild course is 6,377 yards from the back tees, but it's not to be underestimated. Though water doesn't come into play much, there are other strategically placed hazards to keep the game interesting. For beginners, the golf course is relatively open and also quite forgiving but to stay out of trouble you'll have to keep it in the fairway. The course is gentle enough for junior players but at the same time it's nice for a quick round for more advanced players who are looking for a casual game with a few challenging holes.

Hawk Meadows
Great Rate...... Course was in nice shape. Bunkers could use a little more sand. Greens were in very good condition.
Great staff
Played this course several times, mostly for outings and the staff is great. Course is pretty good. Worth the price.
Nice fast greens
Great Value, played late fall and greens were still fast and true. There are two or three holes that are very fun to play.
No Complaints
Nice greens and open fairways. You may shoot a career round, at Hawk Meadow. It's a good value, even for their ordinary rates.
Side note, on #3, I nearly had my first ace. On the fly, my ball slam dunked the cup, only to catch part of the flag. The ball ended up 10 feet from the hole, but I missed my birdie putt!
Nice course!
I find the staff to always be very friendly and I've never had an issue when booking my tee time on golf now.
I've only been playing for about six weeks after an eighteen year hiatus but I would still consider the course somewhat challenging for intermediate players.
golf
surprisingly a great golf course I will try to make it back some time
Very nice course and friendly.
For the average golfer you will have a lot of fun playing this course. Hardly any water hazards and the fairways are wide enough that you won't be in any danger for others errant shots. Course is well maintained as well.
Friendly staff and good course
I always enjoy play at hawk meadows, the staff is friendly and the course is a great deal for the price.
Great value
Decent course. Great for someone who doesn't have a lot of money to spend
Shaggy Greens, Cheap Shandy
The tee boxes and greens needed to be cut. They were both rockin' some serious overgrowth. Rough was also super long for a public course and made for slow downs as groups ahead were looking for balls. This was just your average cow pasture course, but worked fine for my beginner golfer girlfriend. The best part of the day was $8 pitchers of Summer Shandy pitchers late in the season. * I would only play here for the $10 hot deal with an unsure golfer.
Older, rural, open with small yet WELL maintained greeens
A great value. Very little pressure during mid-week late morning. I buzzed around there at my leisure in less than 3 hours.
not a good choice for weekend play, I guess
We played on Father's Day. It was packed and so slow, at times we were 8 carts behind on the tee boxes. No one was attempting to hurry anybody along, so I don't know what the ranger was doing. We were told it was because it was Father's Day but the group behind us said it happens every weekend. It was relatively easy, pretty okay as far as maintenance but I don't think I'll be going there again.
In good condition...
I was pleasantly surprised at how the course was maintained after going to it's sister course Willow Brook in Byron.
Willow was in very poor condition. We went a there a couple weeks ago and there was dead grass clumps on some of the approaches, the rough really was...greens had seed pods on them...cart path in disrepair, etc....
Too bad as it use to be a nice course.
Lots of high handicappers.
There are lots of high handicappers and when we were making the turn, they were letting golfers out in front of us, off tee 10...bad form.
Great casual course
This is a great casual course that is in very good shape. This isn't the kind of course that has a caddy unload your clubs from your car, but if you want to play a moderate course, it is a good place to golf. If you are a player who stays on the fairway, it isn't difficult to play. There are a few hazards strategically placed to make the average golfer challenged. The staff is very friendly and they want to make sure you have fun.
Cheap course for beginners
The course requires no skill and you can hit the ball anywhere
Nice course for the price. Will play there again.
Have played the course a few times over the past several years, and have always felt it was a nice course for the price. Not overly challenging, and fairly open, so good for the average golfer. Owners keep price very reasonable, but take good care of the course. However, not much of a clubhouse.
Played this past weekend for the least we ever paid for 18 holes with a cart, but had typical MI weather! Rained for 14 of the 18 holes we played! Course still drained pretty well for as much rain as we've had.
Good practice course for the price
Not a bad course for the money although the staff could be a bit friendlier and I think about half the time I've booked this course on Golfnow , they didnt have the reservation there I had to show them on my phone the reservation number ...so course and price Good...Staff not so good
