Twin Birch Golf Club

About
The beautiful setting of Twin Birch Golf Club in Kalkaska features stands of red pine and birch trees lining the fairways and the Boardman River, which winds its way all throughout the course. The golf course is mostly flat with the exception of a few raised greens on the back nine. The greens on the front nine are level with open fronts, inviting players to attach the flags. There are ample landing zones along the tree-lined fairways, making Twin Birch a golf course that will appeal to beginners and high handicappers but there are still challenges in store for the more advanced golfers as well. Some of the doglegs holes can be quite tricky. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking along some of the greensides and water comes into play on eight holes.

Great course that does provide a challenge
Twin Birch is a nice Course. It is well maintained, and the staff is always very friendly. There are some challenging holes that make you plan your shots to lay up or replace a shaped shot. The fairways and greens are always in very good condition.
Great Place
Pace of play was excellent! In great condition & all the staff were very friendly & courteous.
Nice little course
Although a short course, it has a lot of bends and turns that keep you from bombing away. Conditions were great. Pace of play and price was great as well. We had a group of 5, so booked 3 and two back to back. When we got to the club house, first thing the lady said was “if you pull any shenanigans and join up, I’ll kick you off the course”. Not exactly the greeting you’d expect, but other than that, I enjoyed the course.
Nice little course
Had a great time playing this course though a bit slow because of slower groups in front of us!

Excellent local golf course
Course has many interesting holes which challenges your play. But is very playable and an enjoyable course.
Excellent restaurant and staff tops off your enjoyable day.
This is a fun and fairly challenging course. It has alot of dog legs left and right that you need to hit certain distances which can test your game. The greens are in very good shape too!
Great Conditions
We have golfed this course in early spring before and we thought that for early June the fairways and greens were absolutely fantastic.
