Average don't spend more than $30
Was a fog that held everyone up in the morning but play was pretty slow once we started. Couse was manicured pretty well but it is obvious they don't put any money back into the couse. Pot holes along cart path. Tee boxes stack on top of previous holes green.
Great Greens
Nice round for $10. Course has great saucer shaped greens with tricky breaks.
Never again
Went there to play nine at 730. Were teeing up on the 5th an hour in and the ranger comes as tells me were too slow and need to speed up. How is it my fault you schedule 15 tee times from 730-8 o'clock. So since it's poorly managed I have to speed up my game and play a terrible round? Never again will I be giving my hard earned $ to this course. Be weary golfnow.
Bald Mountain
Played this course many times in the morning and it has always had a great pace of play. have hardly ever waited on the next shot. Course is average but in decent shape. They have let most of the sand traps grow over.
Needs improvements on staff's friendliness
You get what you pay for. Need to clean up the bird poops on top of the carts. It was nasty.
Smiling, friendly staff would be nice.
Nice course
I enjoyed it and course condition is good and hope to play there again.
I really einjoyed the experience
The staff was great! I was put with a group that live in the town where I was born. That was surely unexpected. Just wish I would have played better - can't blame the course for that!
Beautiful greens
Greens were in great shape. Very tricking, made you think where to hit your approach. Fairways were a little beat up but not too bad.
not so mountain
Gently rolling hils and wide fairways greet you on the first tee, the view quickly narrows from the back tees. Undulating greens make 2 putts respectable with the possibility of 3 or 4. Bunker condition is less than favorable, a few looked like tilled topsoil. Ball placement more important than distance on any given hole, blind tee shots and tree lined fairways keep you honest. I'd play there again but the price would have to be right.
this course doesn't care
the course book 5 people groups in front of us and behined us without telling us.When ask about it they said they were regulars we had to quit after a 3 and a half hour 9 holes wont go there again.
Carts
Had great value but heads up the cart club straps are broken or as the owner said it's defective. Smashed a phone the owner listened but seemed uninterested. Great other then that
wide open
Fairways are very generous and in good condition. Greens also have some undulation and were in pretty decent shape considering other courses in Mich. 2 par 3 holes are very challenging. The course in not boring - brings into play several different shots.
Enjoyed playing it as it has rolling hills.
Fun Greens
This is a rather old facility that definitely needs some upgrades. Bunkers are in terrible shape. The course is mostly wide open and the rough is "rough" .Lot of mixture of grasses and weeds. Greens, however, have many swallows and slopes and are in nice shape. Fun to play from that standpoint. They are well kept.
Overall, if you play once in a while I would go somewhere else. I play 3-4 times a week and, for the price, this is a decent fill in course that doesn't cost much to play.
It is what it is
This course is a good beginner or weekend hacker course. Its layout is simple, straight forward and forgiving. There are not a lot if holes with woods or water in play, so you can let loose and rest assured that you'll probably find your slice/hook. It isn't all flat like other area courses in the same price range/style. Ad the holes are spread out enough that it doesn't feel like a shooting gallery. But make no mistake: it isn't a high or even medium end course. The difference between the rough and fairway is negligible and the greens are spotty. That said, I'll probably return because it a good value (at the Golfnow pricing).
Good value
made a last minute tee time and had a fun time playing
Good track but very slow play.
The course has a nice lay out with good elevation changes. Be prepared for very slow play, the course now routinely allows fivesome's to play, we were following a fivesome and noticed at least three others on the front nine. We were waiting on every shot for an entire 18. We have played this course frequently in then past, with the fivesome policy we will probably skip this course in the future.
Great shape considering the winter
The pace of play was great, hardly anyone on the course. The course had some washed out areas and some of the tee boxes were in rough shape, but that's expected after all the snow this winter. Will be back.
Bad greens
Greens were bare in spots. Grass not growing good.
Solid intermediate level course.
Tough day to golf with very windy and partly cloudy conditions with the temperature in the mid 50s. Not the prettiest course but had wide forgiving fairways. Nice challenging par 3s along with great elevation changes tee to green!
Fun Course but I don't think it is fair to allow 5 somes and 6 somes on the course
Pace of play was hurt by fivesomes and sixsomes that were allowed on the course.
