Sloooow
Tee time was at11:07 and didn't tee off until almost noon. Heard the rep say that they triple booked a tee time. It was a holiday but still terrible. Not sure we'll play there again.
Good for beginners, but not the best around.
I am a new golfer (this was my 5th round), and I played this course because of the value. DO NOT PLAY IF IT HAS RAINED IN THE PAST 24 HRS. A good chunk of the course was practically flooded; my shoes were completely drenched after playing the first hole, and my approach shots were all on the fairway. 7/9 holes were pretty fun to play, especially as a beginner, but in general the course could definitely use some maintenance. For the price, I would look elsewhere for 9 holes.
good course
Middle of fairway on 3rd hole there was a pond like casual water.
should have better drainage.
mostly wide open
Plenty of room to spray the ball around. Fairly easy course to shoot a good score.
TERRIBLE!
I am always one to try to play as many courses around my area as i can.... this was by far the worst of the year... bad fairways bad staff bad clubhouse and pace of play was horrific. i would never recommend this to anyone for the price! even the outstanding golfnow price!
Average Course, Terrible Service
The course itself is average; a good layout that is decently maintained for an older course. Not much character but good hole variety.
Bald Mountain fails, however, in its customer service. 5 1/2 hour round that started 45 minutes late. No ranger on duty Saturday morning. 15 minutes to get a pre-cooked hot dog at the turn. Worse yet, staff was rude and off-putting. Very bizarre. For example, when informing pro shop cashier on which cart number we placed our clubs, he responded without provocation, "we have that club rack out there for a reason."
I do not recommend Bald Mountain; too many comparable courses to endure such long, uncontrolled play and inexplicably bad staff.
Needs some serious maintenance...
Course needs some serious maintenance. Not kept well at all. Layout is good. If maintained properly it will be a good course to play.
Would not recommend or play there again in current conditions.
nothing of value
Nothing like playing in a mowed farmers field. Losing a ball in the first cut. Sand traps containing just plain dirt and rocks. Carts that run and look terrible. Parking lot in horrible shape. Other than that......
This course is a good course.
I had played this course when I was younger 20 years ago. It is a decent course with some challenges. The fairways and greens need to be cut a little. If that are done the course will be in a good shape.
Old, poorly maintained, bad service
This course is terrible, especially for the money. You can't even tell the fairway from the rough, and the guy in the pro shop is a total jerk. Definitely won't waste money here ever again.
The course was in bad shape.
A few years ago the course was in very good shape
not no more.
avoid this course
I will never play this course again. It seems like no one cares at this course, the carts need major work, the course condition is terrible, no defined fairways and dandelions every where. They did have some pop machines on the course, but they did not work. On the positive side the greens were in pretty good shape.
Course drainage problem. Wet course after rain the day before.
Average gentle rolling course, which has potential to become a better course with improvement of the followings:
- Pave road leading to the course entrance.
- Improve field drainage system to improve muddy condition on fairway.
- General maintenance can be improved.
- Need ranger to speed up the pace of play,
Good Value, Well Maintained Course
This is a good course to start out the season. It will get backed up and slow if leagues are in play (as expected). Great senior rate ($25). Cons: NO WATER on course. No water to drink and no water hazards. I mean, would it hurt to throw a couple of thermos jugs out there? Relatively easy to moderate scoring but challenging enough. Also, I have never seen a ranger (or maintenance personnel) out on the course.

Easy course to play and nice staff
Would come back again. Wide open but hilly makes for some fun shots
This course has great features.
couse is well maintained during the winter. The green is good condition.
Spring golf
We recently had a lot of rain. Course was actually challenging with the additional water hazards. We had fun...
Very cheap course, good value for your money.
The road up to the course is the roughest part, make sure you have everything strapped down. The staff here are some of the friendliest around, and the rate of play was very good. The starter got us out there early and didn't pressure us to get going ever. Great course if you're looking for a cheaper round of golf at a course with a lot of elevation changes and tricky greens.
Its nice course for sure beginners and it is not expensive too.
I will recommend to friends and families to play here. It is not very difficult course for pro's but but beginners it is very good course.
