I will always play here when I visit Michigan. Photo submitted by Fresch on 06/21/2022

The clubhouse and the practice green. Very beautiful building and the practice green is as good as any on the course. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

Practice green also has a great view of Lake Nepessing. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

12th green. This is a very challenging approach shot on an already long hole bordered by out of bounds on the right. Those three large cavernous bunkers are always a threat. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

The 13th green. What a view of the hole. This is a short risk reward par 4 with a 240 yard carry over the reeds in order to reach the second fairway just short of the green. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

16th green. This is the highest point on the golf course. What a view of the fairway and the willows. Very tough approach shot as it plays 50 feet if not more uphill and it is tough to hold the green even with a wedge. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

Lapeer Country Club: Worth It
I got this rate semi last minute and it was worth it. The course staff in the clubhouse was friendly and then I was the first tee time off and the maintenance crew was out cutting, putting in new cups, etc. The maintenance crew was just as friendly. Course was in good condition and requires good shotmaking. Would definitely play again.
MSGOLD
I had a great time playing the course. It definitely keeps your attention every moment.
TKO REVIEW
Course was in great shape. Slow front nine, but opened up at the turn. Greens roll very well.
Good course
Course is nice. Staff could use some work in customer service. Upon arrival, an older gentleman met me at the door and asked if he could help me. I told him we were checking in for out tee time. He told us we didn't have a tee time there today (after not asking for or verifying any information) . When I assured him we did, he said there would be a half hour delay due to an outing running behind. Then he decided he was going to check on things and he realized 1, we did have the tee time we claimed, and 2 the outing was not behind and at all. Unfriendly and unaware is not the best look, but we did enjoy the course.
Frustrating Property
I had been looking forward to playing here for a while and finally got the chance. It was way busier than I expected for a weekday midday. Course conditions were fair at best, but the layout is boring besides the elevation changes. Pace of play was okay, but some of the people on the course were very rude. We got barked at on the first tee by the people behind us and then got hit into (ball landed about 10 feet away) on #12 because the people behind us apparently forgot we were all backed up waiting. The elevation changes on the back nine make it difficult to focus without worrying about stray balls flying at you and the cart paths throughout the course force you to wait along side the precious green in dangers way. Last, you also have to drive through the busy parking lot three times in the round with no cart lanes which is very dangerous. I wanted to really like this place, but I probably won’t be coming back.
