I will always play here when I visit Michigan. Photo submitted by Fresch on 06/21/2022

The clubhouse and the practice green. Very beautiful building and the practice green is as good as any on the course. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

Practice green also has a great view of Lake Nepessing. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

12th green. This is a very challenging approach shot on an already long hole bordered by out of bounds on the right. Those three large cavernous bunkers are always a threat. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

The 13th green. What a view of the hole. This is a short risk reward par 4 with a 240 yard carry over the reeds in order to reach the second fairway just short of the green. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

16th green. This is the highest point on the golf course. What a view of the fairway and the willows. Very tough approach shot as it plays 50 feet if not more uphill and it is tough to hold the green even with a wedge. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 01/04/2022

Course in great condition
Although the course is well maintained and staff is friendly, Very slow play. No ranger. Group ahead was playing 6 man scramble. Slowed play for everyone. There was an outing earlier that caused delays as well. No grille or food available other than hot dogs. Good value but don’t expect fast play.
Between storms it was aqesome
Grabbed a quick 18:with my son after the morning storms and before a recurrence in the evening. Only three other twosome had gotten on, but the course was remarkably well drained and im good shape. We kept to 90 degrees off the cart path and greens were good on the front nine, not as much on the back 72 degrees, some dun and no one around. Pretty glorious!
Great course, great staff
Was cartpath only but pace was still good. Starter and pro shop staff were welcoming. Nice practice green and tee boxes. Would play again
Worth the drive
Fun track, with plenty of elevation change and challenges throughout. Worth the drive to get here (an hour from Warren) and can’t wait to play it again.
Bland - Slightly unkept
Very basic course with a lot of deep valleys that really seem unnecessary. Greens and fairways both could use some attention. Maybe the most confounding thing was the yardage differences between the tips and middle tees. In most instances it was dictated by the ridiculous landscape, but still - it was a 100 yd difference on one of the holes. “Just play the back tees then!” Fair enough… A couple of the holes were uncomfortably close to the parking lot also. Quite sure that MANY a car has been hit here because of this. Bar was extra slow at the turn and the pricing was as unorthodox as the layout. Just a very weird course. Nothing CC about it.
Outings
The pace of play was a little slow today due to an outing but still is a nice place to golf
Very Good
I would highly recommend the Lapeer Country Club. I too. A star off for pace of play because I played alone and made the first nine in under and hour with three groups letting me me play through. However on the back 9 I got stuck behind several slow groups who refused to let me through and it took 2 hours on the back. But overall the course was in great shape and fun to play. Still made 18 holes in under 3 hours and I would recommend.
First Timers, we could come back for another round
The course and its layout were both nice. Cost was very friendly. Fairways and, more so the rough were very hard. Main reason course got a 3 star rating for condition. No burned up areas and the greens were still fairly receptive though. Obviously, the rain is beyond anyone's control.
Etiquette doesn't care what your handicap is, although it does care if you wear your shirt.
