6:30 for a round?! No thanks
I don’t know what to say other than this was the most frustrating time going golfing in my 25 years of golfing that I’ve had. When we arrive to the Teebox at 12:05 PM we were greeted by about five other groups that were ahead of us that were waiting since 11:30 AM. We had a teatime for 12:12 PM. How can a legitimate golf course be that far behind? No Rangers no starter to see what’s going on and get things right. End up 30 minutes past our tee off time, took one hour to play two holes. 6 1/2 hours total for the round. Unbelievable, they should’ve offered everybody their money back that day.
SLOOOOW....
This course needs Rangers on weekends. $50 for 18 and no regard for pace of play. "It always like this on weekends"...
No Pace of Play
They literally had a ranger sitting in the cart on the first tee with an iPad and there were 4 groups just waiting to tee off like we were about to go down a waterslide...
Never coming back.
Rude Staff and No Pace of Play (“We book it up like h3ll, no refunds!”)
I recently had a very disappointing experience at Huron Meadows Golf Course. I booked an 11:56 AM tee time through GolfNow, but we didn’t get to tee off until 12:17 PM. Despite the ranger being present, he was more interested in playing on his iPad than addressing the delay, even after we brought it to his attention.
We usually take around 9-10 minutes per hole, but we couldn’t even finish the first hole due to the chaos on the course. Groups were hitting into us from behind, and there were already four groups stacked up on the second hole. It was impossible to find any rhythm, and the entire experience was ruined.
When we decided to leave and asked for a refund, the staff member we spoke to was incredibly dismissive, saying, "We book it up like h3ll, no refunds." The overbooking and lack of customer service make it clear that this course is more interested in cramming in as many players as possible than providing a decent experience. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone.
Great course. Pace of play is terrible.
The only negative, and it’s a huge one is the pace of play is terrible, has been for a while.
If your doing 18 you’ll be there all day. If you’re doing 9 holes 2 1/2hrs at least. Seems like you’re always waiting to hit for an excessive amount of time each shot.
The course itself is always in great shape, and very playable for all levels.
Pace of play is unbearable
Every good thing about this course is shadowed by the fact that the pace of play is so painfully slow. They make the tee teams so close together that you’re left waiting at least 10 minutes between each hole for one or two groups ahead of you to tee off.
Nice Course
I like this course but it was slow - 5 hour round.
Fraud
My wife and I had played here before. We were uncertain of the weather. On the 5th hole we experienced light rain.At the point we finished our 6th hole we heard thunder. Where there is thunder there's lightning. We immediately stopped and returned to the clubhouse. Other golfers continued to play. About a half hour later the automatic lightning horn sounded. We asked for and was denied a raincheck. We continued to wait at the clubhouse for the storm to clear.
We're alive today because we headed the warning of lightning and can play again. Other golfers have died from lightning at this same course.
I consider myself to be defrauded by the golf course operator because we were not given a raincheck when one was due is. Therefore this course is off our list of courses we will play.
