Great challenge and
Perfect conditions. 908 tee into the fog in Mid October. IYKYK. Big greens and those are the challenge, with subtle breaks. Only 2 deep tees 10 yards apart. “Front tees” are quite a bit in front. Perfect for hubby n wife. Not this time though. All of these “muni” courses (Huron Clinton metroparks) are unique and above the cut. STAFF ARE PERFECT. Don’t let others think a “hmmmph” is rude. It might be you. Don’t take it personal. They move people from the cash register to the tee box on the clock. You are on a light clock. Well with the price.
We were paired with a beginner.............WHAT A NIGHTMARE!
Slow Play.
I play the course often and pace of play is typically a bit slow.
This last round was super slow since it seemed that the two couples ahead of us were beginners.
Fortunately, the ranger intervened.
The course is still in great shape and a fair challenge for the social golfer.

Beautiful course with wide open fairways.
Super friendly staff and great grounds work.
Will definitely be returning
Best Value Around
Kudos to all the metro park staffs at all the courses great value great conditions!
6:30 for a round?! No thanks
I don’t know what to say other than this was the most frustrating time going golfing in my 25 years of golfing that I’ve had. When we arrive to the Teebox at 12:05 PM we were greeted by about five other groups that were ahead of us that were waiting since 11:30 AM. We had a teatime for 12:12 PM. How can a legitimate golf course be that far behind? No Rangers no starter to see what’s going on and get things right. End up 30 minutes past our tee off time, took one hour to play two holes. 6 1/2 hours total for the round. Unbelievable, they should’ve offered everybody their money back that day.
SLOOOOW....
This course needs Rangers on weekends. $50 for 18 and no regard for pace of play. "It always like this on weekends"...
No Pace of Play
They literally had a ranger sitting in the cart on the first tee with an iPad and there were 4 groups just waiting to tee off like we were about to go down a waterslide...
Never coming back.
Rude Staff and No Pace of Play (“We book it up like h3ll, no refunds!”)
I recently had a very disappointing experience at Huron Meadows Golf Course. I booked an 11:56 AM tee time through GolfNow, but we didn’t get to tee off until 12:17 PM. Despite the ranger being present, he was more interested in playing on his iPad than addressing the delay, even after we brought it to his attention.
We usually take around 9-10 minutes per hole, but we couldn’t even finish the first hole due to the chaos on the course. Groups were hitting into us from behind, and there were already four groups stacked up on the second hole. It was impossible to find any rhythm, and the entire experience was ruined.
When we decided to leave and asked for a refund, the staff member we spoke to was incredibly dismissive, saying, "We book it up like h3ll, no refunds." The overbooking and lack of customer service make it clear that this course is more interested in cramming in as many players as possible than providing a decent experience. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone.
