Golfer Reviews
Overbooking sucks
Overall I think the course is nice and well maintained. However, I had a 2:16 tee time and when I made my way to the first tee(got there at 2:15) there were 2 groups ahead of me on the Tee. It took roughly 2 1/2 hours to complete 9 which is a bit insane. Not sure what caused it to be backed up, but it seemed like the groups ahead of the groups ahead of me were backed up too
Golf With Brother
Chose this course due to it's proximity to where my brothers home was. Got a nice deal on GP. This is a nice course not too challenging for marginal players. The wildlife is a plus.
really nice course for the money
the greens where awesome except for the unrepaired ball marks. would go again course kept o. great condition. only recommendation is to add sand and seed to cover the multiple do its in the fairways my ball always seem to find one
Day away from the office
Course was in excellent condition. Play was a bit slow.
Solid course, can get backed up at times
The Meadows is one of my local courses. I play roughly a dozen rounds at the course each year.
The courses biggest perk is it's availability to all golfers. They don't have weeknight leagues blocking twilight golf for everyone who's not in that league like several of their neighbors (Faulkwood Shores, Rush Lake Hills, etc.) so you're actually able to play this course after work or school. As a solo golfer, I'm blocked from booking a tee time at several local courses (Hunter's Ridge, Hawk Meadows, Chemung Hills, Ironwood, etc.). Meadows will at least allow you to book your own tee time and pair you up with a group of 2-3 golfers.
The layout isn't too challenging. You're going to struggle on #9 to make par (#3 is a tough green to hit). Besides that, it's a fairly easy course to navigate. Lots of very large greens. The front 9 has two Par 5's which are reachable in 2.
Just like every course with 8 minute tee intervals, it's going to get backed up during busy hours. The Metroparks were handing out 2-for-1 coupons at the Michigan Golf Expo this year (in addition to their clubhouses this spring), so there's probably a lot more people playing these courses than normal. If you can navigate the tee sheet properly and pick the right time to play, I would recommend it.
Great value
Pro shop didn't have a lot of items- mostly balls. Pretty decent options for food at the turn. Great adult beverage selection. Course was in good shape. I noticed a lot of divots in the greens that people didn't fix. Overall great value.
Course is in very good shape. Greens run true and fast. Would definitely play again.
Great except pace of play
Can’t not play after 10am pace of play is ridiculous. Really need to space out tee times more.
