Fair Challenge
Golf course was in great condition.
Fair challenge, even though the rough was slightly thicker than normal.
Coming in at number 2
Huron Meadows is now my second favorite Metro course behind Lake Erie. It's a good test and the conditions were awesome.
Fun Course
Interesting course, and challenging for mid to high handicappers. The pace of play was very slow on the front nine(2:45), but we played the back nine in under 2 hours, so overall fair to good. I scored the same on both nines, so the pace didn’t affect my play. The only real problem were the brakes on the cart…. Very touchy and on the second nine I was mastering them!😅
The course was in great shape. Greens roll true. The course is a great value for the $$.
Party
Was a party with 8 carts I front of us,and the rangers never said a word to them.
Good public course with reasonable price
Variety of holes with reasonable challenges. Water drainage system should be fixed and tend to get water stagnation with rains. Green can be managed better. Overall it’s good for the money spent.
Give it a whirl!
I really enjoyed my 1st round at this beautiful course. Shhhhh...don't tell anyone. Wink wink
SLOW…
Huron Meadows has typically been a go-to for a quick and affordable round. The course is usually in pretty good shape, which this round was par for the course. However, the pace of play was terrible!!! It took almost 3 hours to play nine holes. It was a good 5-10 minute wait on every tee box. Once we made the turn, things picked up and we cruised until 15, where there was a two group wait at the tee box. If it wasn’t for the unbearably slow pace of play, it would have been well worth the money spent.
Pleasant walk in the Park
104pm start oin a saturday, full tee-sheet, total time just short of 5hrs, which can be expected on a saturday. course and greens in good shape.
Great Round
Had a great round at Huron Meadows. Staff was great. Course was in great shape. I am always pleased by how well the metro park staffs do throughout Detroit area.
