Belle River
Overall, a great value. Golf course was in good condition, other than tee boxes. That is to be expected this time of year.
Nice Day to Sit in a golf cart
Got a deal for the round for my wife and I. So what I thought was fantastic price for my wife and I to golf on way home form an over night trip. The best thing the great price did was make it easy to walk away after the 12th hole. They had an outing that was still teeing off the last several foursomes as our 11:02 tee time came and went, was probably 1135 before we teed off. The outing had lots of younger newer golfers it appeared, not that we are pro's, but the fact they were not doing a scramble to help these newer golfers keep pace of play going was beyond crazy. Every single hole was usually waiting for two foursomes to tee of in front of us. Made the turn, thought about leaving then, but figured maybe now that the outing should be getting done, would clear up a bit. Took 20 minutes waiting to just tee of the tenth. by the time we were teeing off for the 13th hole it had been an hour since we teed off on the tenth. Somehow the delays seemed to get worse rather than clearing up. at that point and facing an hour drive the rest of the way home, for the first time ever we walked off the course mid round. Every single shot was essentially a waiting game, no way to get in a groove, seemed like every shot was the first of the day. People in the clubhouse and bar, cart girls, all the employees were great and apologetic. But what was supposed to be a nice wrap up to the weekend with absolutely perfect weather, turned into a frustrating and exhausting day of sitting in a golf cart for the better part of 5+ hours to complete 12 holes.
Need a ranger
There was a ranger cart sitting there but no one managing the playing tee times. We arrived 20mins early and there was already a back up with 4 other groups waiting to tee off and by time we tee'd off there were 4 more groups waiting behind us. The group ahead of us was so bad/slow it took them a half hour to play the 1st hole. We bypassed them and skipped hole 3 because they took forever. Thank god we did or we would have had a 6hour 18 hole round. A ranger should have been out there managing their speed and rushing them along. It caused a lot of frustration for all the groups behind us too. Had a good round after that. Grass conditions were mediocre at best. Many dead spots, spotty greens and fairways. Plus side they had great food!
Don’t Do It
Tee boxes destroyed, no map of course on scorecard, greens with patches of dirt on them. You also can’t distinguish between the fairway and rough. Big waste of time and money.
dry day lots of roll
Likes course layout need to water tboxes hard and lots of baked dirt fairways and greens in good shape course is fun
Fun layout
Overall the course was in decent shape, less a few of the tee boxes which were very hard and difficult to get a tee into. The tee boxes could use some love. The new carts were exceptional! Have always enjoyed playing here and for the price, will be back.
Nice course
This is a pretty nice course. However it would be much nicer if they mowed the fairways a little.
Great Course, Bad Pace
Course is in great condition, layout is beautiful. Staff is super friendly. Provides a nice country feeling with wide open fairways. Unfortunately, the pace was terrible. We were stacked on each other, and for several holes we would wait about 10-15 minutes to take our shots. Not fun in 90 degree weather. Not too surprising as the price is on the lower end so it will attract more golfers. Would recommend spacing tee times out more or having the rangers enforce pace a bit better.
Decent course
They need to include a map layout of the course. Very confusing from green to next tee box. They also overcharged $10.00 from the price that was quoted from the Golf Now app. Didn’t notice the overcharge until it posted to my card the next day.
It’s a good practice coarse.
We were set for 18. Only could play 9 due to rain. Couldn’t get back out to replay the same 9. I was a bit disappointed
Belle
Good experience. Like the course layout which is very challenging at some holes. After golf..best burger in Michigan. Loved it..
Beautiful place
Got a little confused on hole 16 but staff was great and lended a hand. Great place.
