The shot of Fireball was watered down. Disappointed. Course has potential. Grow more grass.
There isn’t a fairway
The whole course is rough, there is no fairway that exists. The greens are in rough condition as well. Pace of play was good because nobody wants to play this course. Wasn’t horrible value for $20, 18 holes, but I wouldn’t play for a penny more.
Not worth the money
I have never seen greens in such terrible condition. Not much difference between fairway and rough on most holes. Get your crap together and hire a decent greenskeeper or lower your rates. Will not be back. Not everyone is cut out to own a golf course.
Pretty bad
Seems like their grounds crew must be one or two people. I’ve never seen tee boxes so bad in my life. The greens were the longest I’ve ever played on. Fairways were nearly acceptable, as in, their condition was almost bare minimum standards, but not quite. The course needs major attention. At only $37.50, it was affordable but, should have been closer to $30.
Not good
Not sure if you can call this a golf course. From the tee box you could not tell the difference between the Fairway or rough. Most tee boxes were just dirt. Greens were not that good of shape, grass was long and they were slow. Did a few interesting holes that were fun to play
Just haven’t cut the grass this year
Horrific. Imagine losing balls on the fairway in 3” grass. Only played because got told no after two holes and wanting a refund on a ruined day.
Spring Golf
I really appreciate that they had a High Water 9 Hole plan in place to protect the longevity of the course through the season. Course is under new ownership and it shows they really care
BEWARE
You may end up paying more than what are told when you book your tee time.
I booked a tee time one week before we played. The course website showed an Early Bird Tee Time Rate of $22 for 18 holes during the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. I verified the price with the course employee Hunter when I made the tee time. When we arrived at the course, we were told the price was $30…but they did us a favor by giving us the senior rate of $28. We didn’t argue at the time because the 4 of us had driven long distances (45 minutes and 1 hour) to get to the course and we wanted to play. When I got home, I checked the rates on the course website and they had removed the Early Bird Special sometime after we made our tee time…but I had printed the rates on their website when I made the tee time and it clearly stated $22 for 18 holes.
As for the condition of the course, they have made some improvements since the last time we played, but the course is still a cow pasture. Tee blocks and fairways have more weeds than grass, greens show fungus and bare spots, and due to overwatering, there are puddles of water in the approaches to the greens. We’ve played much nicer courses than this for less money and will not be playing this course again.
Nice layout, challenging greens
It was a bit wet from all the rain but despite that, it was overall a good play
