Metamora Golf & Country Club

About
Metamora Golf & Country Club is a championship course located in the northern suburbs of Detroit. The parkland layout has a beautifully rolling terrain that provides dramatic elevation changes throughout. The course has a balance of excellent shot values and interesting challenges that will appeal to players of all skill levels. The greens can be especially tricky since they are fast, undulating, and often putt downhill. There are numerous bunkers lurking around the greens and water hazards come into play on nearly every hole, 16 to be exact. Proper club selection and accurate shot placement will be generously rewarded but the golf course is not overly punishing if you're a little off your game. The signature hole is the par-5 third, which requires an approach shot to an island green.

Challenging holes
Beautiful course with many challenges. Elevation changes galore and very good hazard placements. Bring extra balls if you’re a +15. Highly recommend for any skill level even just for the fantastic views.
Course was in great shape
The golf course was in very good shape. The greens were in good shape and running at a good speed. The only draw back were the bunkers they were all wet and you could not hit out of them. Love the layout of the holes except #9.
Good Course, but Not Country Club Standards
This course has a decent layout and in pretty good shape, but calling it a "Country Club" is a misnomer. It's merely a golf club. I would not belong here as the course, especially the back nine has too many holes that goes up then down which means quite often you cannot tell if the group ahead of you is still within range or clear without driving up. The #1 handicap hole #6 is a little gimmicky with water everywhere and it also is dogleg left, but luckily there's more room than it looks, but for first timers, visually tough.. #16 is a crazy hole, uphill, then super downhill. First timers should drive up to see the hole, otherwise you'll aim too far right. Must hit of the left tree bordering the left side of the fairway. All in All, not bad and since I had a $10 off the Hot Deal, I cannot complain about the price.
Novelty course
You can forget your driver, you really don’t need it. You have to plot around this course. Play it once for the novelty.
Perfect course when there is a deal!
Metamora CC can typically be pretty pricey but if you are able to catch a hot deal on golf now, it is totally worth it! I ended up golfing on a Monday with some buddies, after the hot deal and discount it came out to be $23.50/person for 18 and a cart. Course conditions were perfect, we didn’t have to wait on any golfers in front of us, and we were welcomed by a very friendly staff.
Great course!
The first 3 holes are beautiful. I love the layout and different challenges for each hole. It’ll definitely be one that I want to revisit.
Awesome Track
This is now our favorite course to play in lower Michigan. Everyone here was so friendly and courteous to us. We are thinking of buying a home and becoming members here. I would highly recommend this course to anyone.
Beautiful golf course
First time playing here. The course is very beautiful with a good layout and difficulty. Some holes were numbered wrong when we played but we figured it out because we were using the app.
Loved playing there, will play again.
Great course
Wonderful layout well maintained and challenging tract
My favorite golf course
Always friendly staff and kind ranger. Very dynamic course design.
