About
Metamora Golf & Country Club is a championship course located in the northern suburbs of Detroit. The parkland layout has a beautifully rolling terrain that provides dramatic elevation changes throughout. The course has a balance of excellent shot values and interesting challenges that will appeal to players of all skill levels. The greens can be especially tricky since they are fast, undulating, and often putt downhill. There are numerous bunkers lurking around the greens and water hazards come into play on nearly every hole, 16 to be exact. Proper club selection and accurate shot placement will be generously rewarded but the golf course is not overly punishing if you're a little off your game. The signature hole is the par-5 third, which requires an approach shot to an island green.

Even a rainy day couldn't spoil a nice course
Awesome layout...challenging from back tees but playable.
Wish I lived closer to play more but highly recommend for anybody that wants to play a serious course.

Challenging, well manicured course surrounded by nature. Will definitely play again!
Beautifully Maintained
I had high hopes and they definatly didn't let me down. Even with this recent heat wave the course was in fantastic shape. The fast greens and rolling fairways made it difficult but just the right amount to challenge you. I will be back.
Gorgeous course!
This course was awesome! They had really fast greens and some holes were very challenging but playing on a championship tour course was a super cool experience!
2nd time out
Metamora is a very nice course , it rained a lot the night before so the course was soggy in the morning , a m bit windy as well , shot 86 , but birds on 3 and 4 , walking was not fun , hilly course . Hopefully next time out the Gov. will let 1 man 1 cart.
