Too Wet
This is a nice course, but the experience was less than ideal because the place is waterlogged. By the 3rd tee my feet were completely wet. No a good value at this point
It could be a very beautiful an challenging course.
Overall, I was disappointed.
Nice Course/good condition but
I do not believe an amateur golfer needs exact distances but give us a break. Invest in 42 posts or 42 rocks, blue paint, white paint, and red paint, then place the posts or rocks at edges of the fairway at 200, 150, and 100 respectively. Golf should not require a gps range finder or any range finder. KISS

need a ranger to control yahoos
we played Friday afternoon and were disappointed by the pace of play. too many groups out for a party on the golf course, not to golf. had 2 groups in front of us pack it in after the turn. 4 groups waiting to tee of on the par 3 15th. kind of sad, beautiful course.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We take every review into consideration and appreciate you letting us know. Do visit us again soon!
Hidden gem.
Great spot. Challenging but fair. Greens were excellent and rolled quick but true. Outstanding layout ; course winds you through picturesque woods. I'll play again woyithout question.
Thank you very much for the 5 star review. We certainly appreciate it and hope to have you again soon.
Over. Rated.
If you want to play a better than average course and have money to waste, why not…Look this course is a nice course but it is extremely overpriced. Staff (ranger) is rude and does his job poorly, beer cart girl seems more than friendly. Would be a nice track for $50-65 not the $90 it is for prime time weekend.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We like to ensure we hold our staff to an exemplary level of customer service and deeply apologize for your experience on our course. We hope to have you back on our course again soon.
Great day out
What a fun, challenging course. Pace was a tad slow, but you really have to think and set up your shots to avoid trouble, which makes the waits manageable. Course was in great shape despite lots of rain. Played the green tees and loved it. Not too long length was a challenge. Found the online rate which made it a steal.

If looking for a challenge it's worth it
This is one of the most difficult courses I've ever played. I'm a 5 handicap and played from the Black tees (to get my money's worth). I didn't really know what I was signing up for, the course is a beast from back there. I managed an 80 and felt like I played really quality golf for most of the day, to put it in perspective.
I don't recommend the black tees (starter said I was the first person he'd ever seen go back there), a few tee boxes are borderline unfair due to awkward angle (7, 10). The course was in fantastic condition, love how each hole is wooded and private - you will never have to worry about stray shots from other golfers on other holes. The staff was very friendly and let me go out by myself. There are a LOT of blind tee shots and even blind second shots. If you plan on going for par 5s in two, you'll be aiming at what looks like an overgrowth area.
I recommend this course for experienced golfers, and bring a lot of golf balls no matter what your skill level. I will be back to play again.
Thank you very much for the 5 star review. We certainly appreciate your feedback! Visit us again soon.
Never short of amazing!
Has to be the best kept course within 50miles of NW Indiana along with Sandy Pines. Not a weed on this course, fairways and greens were freshly cut as well. Greens played tough but quick as a pool table. Finished 18 in 4hrs, cart was stocked and out often. Never have a complaint at this course!!!
Thank you so very much for such a great review. We always appreciate customer feedback and your review is great. Visit us again soon!
Hardest Course from the black tips I have played in Michigan!
I do not know even where to begin. I got a great deal of half off to play this awesome course. Why courses have to charge such high prices I still cannot figure out. But hey, about golfing here. Place was dead at 12:00pm noon. I love playing the tips of the most challenging courses I play for fun and to try and see how I fare from bad boy Black tees. No stranger to playing 7,000 yard courses, this was a real mental challenge for me from the 3rd hole through 18th hole. This course has course rating of 74.5 from the back tees. and play them and you know why. The senery on this course will blow your mind literally, the greens in best shape. Have such a true roll here, pretty flat I thought. Great course to punch and run on the greens. Tee boxes were in mint condition. and the course was wet in spots but hey they had a ton of rain past week, but still very playable. No matter ware you play from, you will find a lot of forced carries here, play the tips and you will be massively challenged with long forced carries here. Hole 7 I found unfair from tips, but hey not complaining, U need to fade a ball right to left here of the box. straight shot and your looking at trees on left side of the box. Narrow fairways here, especially the front side,. This course has all the great mixture no matter where you play from here of danger, and bunkers, and water, and so much marsh to boot. and this place from Milwaukee about 2 1/2 hour drive. A Huge 2 Thumbs up for this Diamond Gem of a course. I holed out with a 44-39=83 From the tips, and I was mentally drained from the focus this course demands of you when I putted out on 18. The whites here I would shoot easy in the 70's. oh and this course has some blind holes as well. like 10, 14 &18. 14 drive toward the hole if you can to see it tucked back in the left corner to small green, aim at the highway sign to go at the green. Hole 3 they should name the coffin. Talk about narrow fairways and a carry to add to be safe. Hole 7 has 2 sets of marshes to carry to the green. Hole 2 par 5 has forced carry and a decision to make to lay up from tee shot or go over to fairway. I Absolutely Loved Whittaker Woods I like challenging courses not flat and boring. Hit the ball straight or my recommendation is to bring 2 dozen balls, plain and simple. Go play this Monster of the Marsh Lands. You will be glad you did at least once.

Plays long and is a challenge
We found the course to be well maintained. It played long with many challenging long par 4 holes. Staff was friendly and accommodated our specials requests. Very good value. Suggest you book online for best pricing.

Can't wait to play in good weather
Played course twice both HOT DEALS- incredible values. First time was a couple weeks earlier with my father on a misty 55 deg day. Second was with a friend on a blustery 60 deg day. Lots of leaves the 2nd time , hard to find ball even in fairway and the greens were aerated & sanded. The fall scenery was beautiful though. Good variety to holes, elevation change, and difficulty, four sets of tees. GPS was off both times and i had trouble determining distances due to visual deceptions and some sprinklers that had to be mismarked. All the personnel were very friendly and accommadating. The first time was on a Monday or Tuesday and we pretty much had the course to ourselves, played two balls on some holes. The 2nd was a Saturday with plenty of groups ahead and we finished in 4hrs 5min. Beverage cart came around plenty, didn't get chance to sample clubhouse food.
Great November golf
Course in good condition for season, fairways and greens were blown clean and course is in great condition, cart path only as most of the season this year due to rain, no rating for food and beverage as no food this late season
The course is always great to play
A good friend and I played 18 holes in beautiful weather. The course is one of the best in the area and always maintained well. It's a full length course and very challenging, especially the greens.
Great layout and views
Course has challenging holes and excellent views. Great fall golf with all the colors. Pure Michigan for sure..
Beautiful Course
Gorgeous views, Ridiculously "fun" greens, large with undulations and multi levels. Wide, pristine fairways, but miss the mark and you'll pay the price with lost balls and/or tough lies in the rough.
I'm surprised they didn't have a starter or a ranger on the course the day we played. I played as a twosome. There were s-l-o-w groups in front of us. Waited and waited, until finally 2 groups let us play through, but then caught a threesome on 16. Took almost 1 hour to play 17 and 18!!!! REALLY????
I have no problem with "beginner" players, but I do have a problem with NO golf etiquette and no course monitoring.
Tough course
greens were pretty quick and I ended up losing a few balls on decent shots. Lots of forced carries without much room between ob and greens either in front or some holes behind (just over green) . Playing to center of greens is very much advised instead of going after pins. Would like to play the course again after gaining some knowledge of it.
Beautiful challenging course
Excellent condition; beautiful natural setting; challenging and interesting course!
nice for value of 39$ golf now price
Wet conditions that day, cart path only. Great greens. Nice fairways. Lay out, ok. Good club house.
