The Woodlands Course at Whittaker

I love the natural setting of this course!! If you could possibly make it more difficult to give a review you could annoy people even further.

Fun, course tight lots of tree's, must hit ball in good position off tee. New Buffalo is a great weekend getaway, and Whittaker Woods, is a nice track worth playing.

This course is as beautiful as it is hard. I play to enjoy the outdoors and scenery and this course does not disappoint. No boring holes stacked next to each other and the ride from hole to hole often takes you through a wooded trail. Grass off Fairway kinda high and putting greens irregular only drawbacks for me. Anyone who has not played it should but do not forget to bring extra golf balls!

Even with the harsh winter and wet spring we had this course was in good condition. The greens were great but it seems some people have a problem repairing their ball marks. That being said, this course is a challenge with long carries and a number of doglegs left. Righties bring your draw because some of the wholes will be a nightmare if you fade or slice. Lefties play on.

If you're a nature lower you'll lover the tall stands of trees and wet lands. There are numerous wholes with forced carries.

Because of the wet spring in SW Michigan the ruff is three or more inches deep. Hopefully, we dry out and the ruff can be cut back.

Whittaker is an amazing test of golf. The course is always in great shape. This round was cart path only due to heavy rain over the past few days, but the course still played fair. Avoid the rough at all costs..it will cost you a shot for sure. I play here 3 or 4 times a year and it is always a pleasure.

We had a great time. Holes are interesting and challenging. Course was in good shape for the winter we had and late spring.

I'll play there again.

My wife and I played hooky from work on a Friday afternoon and enjoyed a beautiful day until we ran into a couple of real jerks (I'm keeping it clean in my description). At the 15th hole, these two jerks came charging up through us playing, made all kinds of false accusations and told my wife "you should be playing out here honey." Needless to say neither one of us took it well. I've been playing for almost 30 years and have never had something like that happen. I've always been very conscientious of other players, as I expect the same from others.
My wife refused to play anymore and we went to the club house to complain. At first, the guy behind the counter seemed to have the same attitude but eventually made it right. The other staff were very helpful and enjoyable. The course is beautiful and challenging. I will go back but I don't expect it will be with my wife again.

This course in SW Michigan is a great deal for the price. I needed to play a Michigan course as part of my "bucket list" goal of playing a round in all 50 States. It was number 42 on my list and I am pleased to say a very pleasing experience. Thanks to Ed and Mike for assisting with my goal.

One of the best courses in the state of Michigan. Every hole is beautiful. The pro Steve and his staff do a great job of making you feel at home. I would play it every day if I could.

Very tough course if you are not a straight hitter. if you have a slice or hook you can't control, bring a lot of balls and play a game of sporting golf.

The course was in good shape even with the heavy dose of rain.

Whittaker Woods is a beautiful and challenging course that is a fair value even at full price. Playing it with the GolfNow discount made it an unbelievable value!

The course is very well maintained and really beautiful throughout all 18 holes. Whittaker Woods challenges you to think your way around the course with shot selection, club selection and the need to carefully read the greens. The clubhouse and facilities were all top notch.

I look forward to going back soon and often.

Whittaker Woods is fast becoming the 'must play' facility of any golfer's summer vacation. "Woods" is the operative descriptor of this lush and challenging course. Add a steady breeze to a bright sunny day--as my 2 playing partners and I encountered, and the round becomes a few strokes tougher. The pristine fairways are surrounded by long fescue, creeks, and ponds in addition to the ball-swallowing woods. The greens are true and fast, but fair. Worth an hour's drive, and with the GolfNow deal, it's got to be on your 'courses to play' list.

The restaurant served great food and Jaimie are waitress/bartender was super friendly. The golf course was beautiful and well maintained. The course is a little challenging, we lost a lot of balls in the narrow fairways.

This course was gorgeous! It is well maintained from tee boxes, fairways, to the greens. Very challenging being there are narrow fairways and many hazards to start off every hole. I would definitely try this course again but make sure to bring all my leftover golf balls to lose first.

Course has lots of tall grass, blind shots and narrow fairways. I would recommend this course to anyone who has a average to better than average game. If your an average player or less I would suggest playing from the white tees.

Course was in great condition and staff was friendly.

However, only five groups were on the entire course, so no beverage cart was running. It was a hot day!!

Played the white tee's on a beautiful but, very hot day. Course in excellent condition, greens beautiful, stimped about 9 or 10. Definitely a course you need to play more then once to figure out where not to hit it. A lot of blind shots from the tee's or only partial views of fairways due to tall vegetation. Great course, great layout, super condition but, needs blind shot attention.
