The Woodlands Course at Whittaker

Course has challenging holes and excellent views. Great fall golf with all the colors. Pure Michigan for sure..

Gorgeous views, Ridiculously "fun" greens, large with undulations and multi levels. Wide, pristine fairways, but miss the mark and you'll pay the price with lost balls and/or tough lies in the rough.

I'm surprised they didn't have a starter or a ranger on the course the day we played. I played as a twosome. There were s-l-o-w groups in front of us. Waited and waited, until finally 2 groups let us play through, but then caught a threesome on 16. Took almost 1 hour to play 17 and 18!!!! REALLY????

I have no problem with "beginner" players, but I do have a problem with NO golf etiquette and no course monitoring.

greens were pretty quick and I ended up losing a few balls on decent shots. Lots of forced carries without much room between ob and greens either in front or some holes behind (just over green) . Playing to center of greens is very much advised instead of going after pins. Would like to play the course again after gaining some knowledge of it.

Wet conditions that day, cart path only. Great greens. Nice fairways. Lay out, ok. Good club house.

Tight front 9 and opens up a bit on the back. Played as a couple with another gentleman. Nice people all around.

Great track, challenging and tight. Course is well maintained. Many forced carries with ungelating greens.

The course is fun and challenging, but I would never pay the full rpice to play here. If you can get the HOT Deal at Golf Now, it is worth it. Fairway conditions were pristine, greens were mostly OK, but a few bare and bumpy spots were out there.

Price was right and speed of play was good . The front nine is tight but fair. Did not eat there this year but I have in the past and would recommend highly.

We decided to play Whittaker Woods while visiting New Buffalo. We found the staff to be very friendly, and they gave us good advice about the course. The front nine is very tight. If you don't hit the ball straight, into the woods it goes and you will never find it. The water hazards are somewhat long and you definitely need to connect to carry them. The back nine is much more forgiving.

Went with a golf buddy, needed a new course to play. We heard good things about Michigan. So we played two courses. This was the second.
It rained the night before heavy, so in the morning the course was very wet, but by midway through the front nine fairways had dried up a little, greens were drying out.
Over all design is a good design, tight fairways and challenging drives on front 9 back 9 is easier, due to wider fairways. Overall great round for the price. Staff was super friendly. Would play this again.

We very much enjoyed our round. Played on the 4th with friends, Greens were excellent and had American Flags...Very Nice touch.

Great track cut through the forest. Right fairways and lots of trees. Great shape and fast pace play.

Whittaker Woods is a great course to challenge yourself with. The front nine is a bit tight in spots, so hit it straight. The back nine opens up, but still challenges you. Greens are large and roll true and fast. Staff was very friendly from the time we pulled into the parking lot until we left. Nice golf experience.

Great value for money. The course is very challenging especially from back tees.

Despite having to reschedule twice due to rain the freindly staff carried over our discounted rate
The food was good but not world class but also reasonably priced
The course was in good shape but since all of the rain they didn't mow for a couple day. I anticipate coming back here

Whittaker Woods is just as good as any private course. Greens were lighting fast and rolled true. One of the most challenging and beautiful courses you will ever play. By the way, bring a lot of balls with you to this course. The fairways are tight and has many trees.

The highlight of our day was Amy the cart girl she came around early and often. The course was excellent, Slightly over watered but apparently a must due to the weather. Other than that Whittaker woods is a classic old school course cut out of the lush wooded areas and marshes

Whittaker Woods is a lovely course. Its set-up makes you feel like you are alone on the golf course, with each hole as its own little island. The front winds through trees with challenging landing areas, while the back is longer and more open.

A round of golf at Whittaker is everything you would want it to be, and the green fees, especially for seniors, are very reasonable.
