Not bad
Pace of play was great. Course is nice, staff was nice
A fun place to play.
Course was in good shape and great pace of play. Played middle tees which made playing on a Holiday very enjoyable.
Alright
Thought it would be a nicer place for around 40 a round
Poor Condition
Cow pasture. Is not being kept up. Wouldn't play again.
Average course for the money
You get what you pay for at this course. It is not expensive and the course is not in great shape. The fairways were fine but the greens were in poor condition.
narrow minded
Appears to be a old horse farm converted into a golf course. Course layout was forced into the land narrow tree line fairways, tee boxes not maintained. One tee box is a wooden platform with a foam cushion. Greens slopes are crazy and pins located on the slope. Plan on losing golf balls and advice you the travel up the fairway to see what is ahead. Greens and fairway conditions were good. Cost is to much for what you can get elsewhere with better conditions. Have no plans on returning here.
it was a deal
has some nice features if they could cut the grass a little more often or better.
D Farms
Track is pretty easy. Only minus is the tee boxes. They haven't been repaired in years. But all the golf
You can play for $33 can't beat it. Pace is hit or miss - you can get stuck behind novice players and take +5.5 hrs.
Not recommended
This was the worst maintained course I have ever played. I would have rather played Hawthorne valley while it was open. You can pay the same money to play whispering willows, fox creek, or idyl wyld. I would have rather played any of those courses any day.
Narrow fairways
The narrow fairways, woods, tall grass makes this course unnecessarily challenging. Be prepared to lose golf balls ! Also fairways and greens not well maintained. The bunkers were not playable because they weren't groomed.
Kue,Jeesou
this course is very tight, special some fairways, green are good, slop ! you have to trust your self for it. If you are first time at this course, Lots Blind shot. and very interesting course.
Swamp course
The course seems like it was built on a swamp. The fairways were part dirt and part grass. The pace of play was horrible. We were going to play 18 but left early because it was a joke.
Beware of the greens!!!
The course is pretty interesting. Not too difficult but an interesting layout. No two holes are the same. But the greens i thought were pretty deceptive. Putting is the best part of my game. I had numerous putts from within ten feet and I only made one. Could have been just a bad putting day but there were just a lot of little breaks I just didn't see. Overall a good day at the golf course
downing farms
Played from blue tees, was still kinda short. Price paid on golf now was well worth it
for still being cold temperature
Very nice course, it is actually in Salem, Michigan not Northville. for the temperatures been extremely cold and we had it extended long winter the course was in pretty good shape the trees hasn't bloomed yet the putting green was not hard but you can tell the course is well manicured and taking care of. When I pulled up to it up into a dirt parking lot I'm not expecting the course to be in the condition. Farm land area. Staff was freindly and accommodatin .
Fun course
We really enjoyed the course, learned quick you have to be able to hit it straight. Tall grass lines the fairways makes it tough, if not impossible to find errant shots.
Nice course for great price
This course has shorter yardage, but still offers great challenges for beginners. Some greens are smaller, not so flat, with water fronts hazards. It is very interesting to play in this great course.
Nice Course but boy it could be so much more
For the price I was thrilled. This is a Geaorgeous course that just needs attention. If they put some money into this it would fetch top dollar (and than I couldn't play there so maybe I dont want them to fix it :) ) but it has sooo much potential. The layout is very pretty. The staff was nice. No problems with Rangers like Hickory Creek has being rude. The complaints I would have is the sand traps are overgrown with grass. It would be so nice if they would add sand and fix this. There are some spots on the fairways that need attn too. THe other complaint is the greens are not all the same speed. I get used to a slow green and the next one is a lot faster. Makes putting tough. Also the dirt roads for the carts are ehh. The other problem I had was the pace of play . 3.5 hours for the front nine. For some reason the back nine didn't have anyone on it. Took an hour for the back thank goodness. Real slow people and no one speeds them up but I'd rather have that than rangers barking at you. Still the scenery is geourgeous with some very pretty holes so I would definitely come back.
great value
booked last minute accommodating open layout better than expected
good place to learn
What a great day for golf at an exteremely economical price! I did not "wait" for slow players except on the 9th and 18th holes. I was able to work on my game while taking the challenge of long and short holes, some with unusual twists (an 80 yard par 3?)
