About
The Myth Golf & Banquet, formerly known as Beaver Creek, tumbles across rolling hills. Situated next to Lake Orion, the golf course sits on protected land that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including sandhill cranes. There is both an 18-hole championship course and a nine-hole par-3 course. In 2007, when the Myth was established, several improvements were made to the championship layout, improving its conditions and making it more challenging. The scenic golf course features boardwalk cart paths that cut through beautiful pine forests. Don't get too distracted by the scenery though because there is plenty to keep you busy including multi-tiered greens and water hazards on almost every hole. The 13th is the golf course's signature hole. This par 3 plays from an elevated tee over water to a generous green, offering a great opportunity for a birdie.

Scenic Round of 18
Was a very nice coarse lots of hills and trees . Some shade along the way to cool down a little from the sun. Enjoyed it but not a coarse for a beginner lol lots of forest and narrow fairways but I still enjoyed it
Memorial day
Teatime is at 2 PM. I completely understand that a holiday is going to be busy. I have worked in the Golf industry as well, but when you have two groups in front of you that don’t even know how to swing a golf club. Kind a hard to play golf. Ranger was out there, but really didn’t do anything to keep the pace of play up for those groups or even tell them to let us pass, I’m tired of playing 9 holes in over 2 hours, all the golf courses in the area need to do something about people that can’t hit it off the tee 100 yards overall nice place but gonna be beat up in 2 weeks, needs a lot of maintenance with the play it gets overall give it a 3 to 4 outta 5 hopefully it gets better Bc this is always a fun cheap Course to play but come on golfers do better 👍🏼
Not bad for the price. Tee boxes are in really bad shape and I’m not a huge fan of the layout. It looks like they’re staring to put money into the course so hopefully the tee boxes will improve. I would definitely play there again but not as a first option.
Second worse day of golf this season
I'd first like say that the course is in great shape, it's been 2 years since I've played here and impressed at the work on the course. Now, the pace of play was outrageous, the course seemed to be overrun by young people who were there to wildy drive carts and drink. My wife and I, even on a busy course do not have any issues with a 4.5 to a 5 hour round, but at nearly the five hour time we still had 3 holes left and decided to call it a call it a day since the pace would have another hour at least. This is a Vargo managed course which is the second of their courses within the last two weeks that we've had the same experience. The course management seems to have 0 knowledge of what is going on during play. Since we payed top dollar for a 2:14 tee time there's no excuse for this. We will no longer be visiting Vargo courses in the future.

Lovely course
Very nice course. Well taken care of. Cart path needs a major upgrade.
Nice course.
The course is nice and some holes are challenging. Staff is friendly and professional. The pace of play was really slow this time, but that's up to us as golfers.
Greens for startup season
Got a tee time through Golf Now, the course manager won't let you play earlier than scheduled, noone is on the tee box, 4 holes are open. Waited up to the last minute, not got called until I checked in again, nobody in front of me at the counter either.
Other golf courses are more accommodating, if it is open.

Nice Par 3
Nice oar 3, greens were faster than an average local course. Only issue was hole 1 ran parallel with the parking lot, with no trees or safety features. The lot was maybe 20 feet left of the pin. My golf partner was new and didn’t want to play that hole, as well as I would not want to park anywhere by there. Overall, exceeded my expectations for a par 3 course. Would definitely play again
