About
The Myth Golf & Banquet, formerly known as Beaver Creek, tumbles across rolling hills. Situated next to Lake Orion, the golf course sits on protected land that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including sandhill cranes. There is both an 18-hole championship course and a nine-hole par-3 course. In 2007, when the Myth was established, several improvements were made to the championship layout, improving its conditions and making it more challenging. The scenic golf course features boardwalk cart paths that cut through beautiful pine forests. Don't get too distracted by the scenery though because there is plenty to keep you busy including multi-tiered greens and water hazards on almost every hole. The 13th is the golf course's signature hole. This par 3 plays from an elevated tee over water to a generous green, offering a great opportunity for a birdie.

Boring game
We came home on the 12th hole because the pace of the game was too slow. There was no action from the staff throughout the game.
Terrible experience
Staff was so rude they over booked it. We played 9 holes in 4 hours waiting almost 20 min at each hole. 4 groups just sitting waiting to play at each hole. Staff never had anyone out in the field to keep the pace. Just a bad experience overall. Lady at the from had a bad attitude and told us no one complained… we paid for 18 and completed 9 in 4 hours. Wish I could get my money back. I’ll never come back. I was not about to spend 8 hours here. Such a joke.
Terrible, and staff was so rude !
The hold up behind every tee box was 15-20 min. There was no sign of pace of play monitors or Marshall. It was very an upsetting. I was playing games on my phone more than playing golf. When we told the staff they were so rude also and denied it completely. The front desk lady told us 18 holes should take 6 hours or more. Idk who she was kidding. We spent 4 hours there and played 9 holes lol we were on track to take 8 hours to play 18 holes. Such a joke. Never going back there again
Decent course
I like the course but it was definitely very cold bit our choice to play.
Perfect course for us ladies
Perfect course for our group of woman. We had a great time. Staff was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back.
Tricky Greens
Many of the greens are IMO expert level. Just a tap of the putter puts it over and off the green.
Cool Trek
Caught a good day to get out mid week and was impressed with the condition. Greens were still in very good shape.
