About
The Myth Golf & Banquet, formerly known as Beaver Creek, tumbles across rolling hills. Situated next to Lake Orion, the golf course sits on protected land that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including sandhill cranes. There is both an 18-hole championship course and a nine-hole par-3 course. In 2007, when the Myth was established, several improvements were made to the championship layout, improving its conditions and making it more challenging. The scenic golf course features boardwalk cart paths that cut through beautiful pine forests. Don't get too distracted by the scenery though because there is plenty to keep you busy including multi-tiered greens and water hazards on almost every hole. The 13th is the golf course's signature hole. This par 3 plays from an elevated tee over water to a generous green, offering a great opportunity for a birdie.

Terrible, and staff was so rude !
The hold up behind every tee box was 15-20 min. There was no sign of pace of play monitors or Marshall. It was very an upsetting. I was playing games on my phone more than playing golf. When we told the staff they were so rude also and denied it completely. The front desk lady told us 18 holes should take 6 hours or more. Idk who she was kidding. We spent 4 hours there and played 9 holes lol we were on track to take 8 hours to play 18 holes. Such a joke. Never going back there again
Decent course
I like the course but it was definitely very cold bit our choice to play.
Perfect course for us ladies
Perfect course for our group of woman. We had a great time. Staff was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back.
Tricky Greens
Many of the greens are IMO expert level. Just a tap of the putter puts it over and off the green.
Cool Trek
Caught a good day to get out mid week and was impressed with the condition. Greens were still in very good shape.
Overall one of the nicest courses in the area
Found this course on GolfNow as a hot deal. Managed to get a full 18 holes with a cart for $26, not bad! I was surprised to see how well kept the course was. This course may be harder in the fall due to all of the fallen leaves. On about 4 of the 18 holes I played there were quite a few leaves on the putting greens/fairways which made it difficult. Other than that the course was great to play. It was a little bit more difficult than other courses I’ve played throughout the season. I give it an 8/10. Definitely coming back next season

Horrible tee boxes, worst pace of play.
Dirt tee boxes on most holes, ones that have a little grass are extremely uneven. Warden allowing groups of four splitting into groups of two. Pace turns to trash. Go elsewhere, literally, anywhere else. D+
