About
The Myth Golf & Banquet, formerly known as Beaver Creek, tumbles across rolling hills. Situated next to Lake Orion, the golf course sits on protected land that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including sandhill cranes. There is both an 18-hole championship course and a nine-hole par-3 course. In 2007, when the Myth was established, several improvements were made to the championship layout, improving its conditions and making it more challenging. The scenic golf course features boardwalk cart paths that cut through beautiful pine forests. Don't get too distracted by the scenery though because there is plenty to keep you busy including multi-tiered greens and water hazards on almost every hole. The 13th is the golf course's signature hole. This par 3 plays from an elevated tee over water to a generous green, offering a great opportunity for a birdie.

The full 18 at the Myth did not disappoint
Played full 18 and with the hot deal, it was so worth it! Some challenging holes on the back 9 with quite a bit of water to contend with. Upgraded carts with USB port for charging and plenty of dashboard space for things…bonus. Fun course with adventurous commuting hole to hole…oh, better than average course conditions too. 👍
A good challenging course, needs some maintenance
Course is very narrow with small greens, which makes it a fun challenge even from the tips at only 6,000 yards. Greens are like shag carpet which is disappointing. If the greens were cut more often, and the ball marks taken care of, this course would be awesome!
No myth about this course
Nice course, pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the layout as it was well taken care of… the long wooden trails and bridges between some of the holes makes it adventurous and entertaining to drive the rather speedy carts. No walking this course, carts only. I did only play the front 9 but will certainly be back to give 18 a go soon. It’s a Good value for the price. I’d recommend!

I recently had a very disappointing experience at The Myth Golf Course. My group and I arrived just a few minutes late for the last tee time on their Par 3 course, only to be rudely turned away by an employee named Jim. Despite our best efforts to explain the situation, Jim was unhelpful and inflexible, refusing to let us tee off. We chose this tee time because we had new players looking to learn and didn't want to hold anyone up but this was completely ruined our experience.
I understand that schedules need to be maintained, but a little understanding and customer service can go a long way. This was a poor experience that left a bad taste in our mouths, and we won't be returning to The Myth anytime soon. I would not recommend this golf course to anyone looking for a friendly and accommodating place to play.

Horrible do not spend money
worst expierence ever payed for 18 they only let us play 9 and were extremely rude. Then said they were closing early at 8 and don’t have twilight.

Nice Course
First time to this course. Good layout with some challenges. Check in as easy and the young lady was friendly. I will be back again.
Horrible do not waste money
Payed for the 18 hole rate they only let us play 9. They then said we could upgrade to 18 but they close at 8 online it says they are open to 9 additionally they do not have twilight. Do not waste money greens are not well kept and course conditions are bad. Go down the street and play blackheath better money for value and way better service

Not a bad simple Par 3 course
Despite what the Golf Now app indicates…there are no carts allowed on the par 3 course. Walking is good exercise but the course does have some hills to navigate. Greens were in o.k. shape. Water hazards here and there…overall pretty decent, not as well manicured but not bad for the money

Never again
I tried the course because a friend said he had played recently and it was in good condition.
Poor drainage on the back nine resulted in many wet areas.
There are numerous spots on the greens with markings and spotting.

Annoying Owner
Course sucks and the owner/manager here is not very friendly.

Unprepared and unprofessional
Staff seemed overwhelmed with being kind of busy. Unprepared and understaffed. And rude to me when I asked simple questions. As a golf professional myself. I try to be understanding and patient. The lack of professionalism and the dismissive attitude towards the clients was baffling
