Bruce Hills Golf Club
About
Bruce Hills Golf Course is located in the north metro Detroit area near Romeo. Mature trees are scattered throughout the course, providing shade and a peacefully secluded feel. The par-70 layout is relatively short at only 5,630 yards form the back tees, making it an ideal round for beginners but it still provides good practice and a quick round for more advanced players. The golf course sprawls across a diverse terrain that allows for downhill and uphill approaches to the small, round greens, which are often sloped from back to front. Keeping the ball below the hole is the key to scoring well on this golf course. Bruce Hills' player-friendly layout only has four bunkers but water comes into play on 12 holes, providing the bulk of the course's challenges.

Ok course.
Good course for the money. Played well. For me I can play similar courses around my house for the same money and not have to drive as far But fun to play though.!!
good course
The course was wonderful, the course was packed. so game play was slow. staff was friendly.
Not worth the drive
I played this course about 15 years ago, and back then it was beautiful, well maintained and a fun track. Just played it last weekend and tell you what, I would play it again even if it was $5. Greens were a joke, tee boxes are like a burn with a drastic slope on both sides, just all around bad. I drove 45 min to play this thing too. My advise..... play somewhere else! Oh. I did shoot a 71 though.
Pretty but significantly overbooked.
Course had some very pretty holes but was very busy and tight in others. Course was significantly overbooked. The first few holes were backed up with 4-5 groups of 2-4 each waiting at the box. Not a good course for weekend play.
Good value
Played late in the day, was concerned about the speed of play. But, our surprise pace good, never had to wait! Good value course that is close by.
Still waiting
A neat, quirky layout with small sloped and crowned greens. Even with the 'covid19' new normal, the pace of play was horrible, more so for a course that is only 5,600 yards. 5 hours and 50 minutes was painful as we waited on every shot. When we approached the tee box on #8, and there were 3 groups ahead of us waiting. I called the 'pro-shop'. They responded, "Thanks we'll see what we can do." Never saw a ranger and it had no impact, as we played the back in 2:45, again waiting on every shot. Several areas just off the fairway had yet to see a mower all year. My advice, bring a book for all the waiting and keep the ball in the fairway and below the hole.
Fair value
Play this course every year. Shotmakers course. Greens fast and hard to hold. Layout makes you want to go for it but best not to. Tee boxes are mediocre as most are not flat. Clubhouse is dated.
Bruce Hills
This course is very interesting to play. The fairways are easy enough to hit but the greens are sloping making putting challenging. The course is beautiful. It has lots of wildlife, sand cranes, geese and deer. I would recommend it to anyone.
Poorly managed
golfed here for the first time due to a good deal, we ended up getting stuck behind a four foursomes of seniors and instead of starting us at hole ten, theybstarted us at hole one behind them. due to extremely poor pace of play we ended up leaving and not finishing our round. there was nobody working the grill when we got there so no food, the tea boxes are a mess and there are almost zero yardage markers in the fairways.

Decent course! Over booked exstremely !5 hour round!
Great help
Course was fun and challenging, staff and cart girl was great, just the tee boxes could be in better shape and flat.
