Bruce Hills Golf Course is located in the north metro Detroit area near Romeo. Mature trees are scattered throughout the course, providing shade and a peacefully secluded feel. The par-70 layout is relatively short at only 5,630 yards form the back tees, making it an ideal round for beginners but it still provides good practice and a quick round for more advanced players. The golf course sprawls across a diverse terrain that allows for downhill and uphill approaches to the small, round greens, which are often sloped from back to front. Keeping the ball below the hole is the key to scoring well on this golf course. Bruce Hills' player-friendly layout only has four bunkers but water comes into play on 12 holes, providing the bulk of the course's challenges.

Te course is moderate but staff is kind.
The weather is warm and windy. I enjoyed winter play. Course condition is fairly OK. Green is slow.
Staff is friendly
Course isn't great if you don't have control. Tree lined holes and water at landing distances. Leaves get overwhelming in the fall.
Staff is friendly, remembers your name, and do the little things that make you feel welcome.
Nice round nice price
Great greens, level fairways, challenging course for me. Lots of wildlife, rabid raccoon attacking dogs on edge of course. Nicely set up. Well maintained
Club Staff is friendly
Staff is helpful, usually friendly. The course is what it is. Good practice but awkward layouts and distance.
The Bruce hill experience
First and foremost, let's talk about the overbooking situation. It seems that Bruce Hills Golf Course has mastered the art of squeezing as many golfers onto their course as humanly possible. I must say, it was quite impressive to witness the sheer number of people vying for a spot on the green. However, this overcrowding led to a painfully slow pace of play, turning what should have been a leisurely round into an epic odyssey.
Now, I'm no mathematician, but when it takes over four hours to complete a round of golf, something is amiss. It felt like we were stuck in a time warp, where the laws of physics ceased to exist and each swing of the club was met with a cosmic delay. As the minutes turned into hours, I couldn't help but wonder if I had accidentally stumbled into a golf-themed version of "Groundhog Day."
But wait, there's more! As we finally reached the end of our seemingly never-ending golfing marathon, we were bid farewell by the charming workers at Bruce Hills Golf Course. And by "charming," I mean they kindly expressed their heartfelt sentiments by flipping us off. Ah, what a delightful gesture to cap off an already unforgettable experience!
So, if you're looking for a golf course that offers a unique blend of time, overcrowding, and a grand finale of hand gestures, Bruce Hills Golf Course might just be the place for you. For the rest of us, it might be wise to explore other options that prioritize a more seamless and enjoyable golfing experience.
