About
Bruce Hills Golf Course is located in the north metro Detroit area near Romeo. Mature trees are scattered throughout the course, providing shade and a peacefully secluded feel. The par-70 layout is relatively short at only 5,630 yards form the back tees, making it an ideal round for beginners but it still provides good practice and a quick round for more advanced players. The golf course sprawls across a diverse terrain that allows for downhill and uphill approaches to the small, round greens, which are often sloped from back to front. Keeping the ball below the hole is the key to scoring well on this golf course. Bruce Hills' player-friendly layout only has four bunkers but water comes into play on 12 holes, providing the bulk of the course's challenges.

Too many out at the same time
I enjoy the course, but sometimes they just need to pair singles and doubles with others.
A 5-some of senior women were holding up everything and unfortunately there were a bunch of 2 some out together instead of being grouped. Normally, I'm good with going out solo or with my partner, but busy days need to be grouped up.
It won't stop me from going back, but there was definitely complaining happening.
Way overbooked
I normally enjoy playing at Brice Hills, but the management is getting greedy and over booking the tee times.
Waited 40 minutes last Sunday to play two holes.
Played #1 and waited at #2 for a half hour as we counted 18 golfers behind and ahead of us waiting to tee off or waiting to take a shot on #2.
We went to the pro shop and asked for a rain check due to the wait.
The started agreed to let us go off on 10, which we appreciated, but that was still an hour lost out of our day.
They need to manage the tee times better in the future before i will go back and play that course again.
Overbooked
I've played this course many times, and this year has been so overbooked, I'll never be back.
Hole locations suspect
I hit a nice SW 3rd into the 554y par 5 7th that was inside 15 feet, bounced up green, no backspin. By the time my buddy hit his shot and we headed to the green, my ball had rolled off the front into the deep rough 15 yards short. That was extreme given the quality of my shot(s) to that point, deserved a birdie putt at least.
Then, there was an unplayable hole location on the back. The hole with the two trees that block the front left side of the green. I pitched it to 3 feet short, then it pulled a U-turn and rolled back 20 feet. My buddy was on the top side of the hole, missed a 6 foot putt and had 20 coming back. Unplayable hole without a doubt. Shame to have a good round going and have to deal with this. I should’ve had 3 feet for par, but that’s beside the point, there never should have been a hole cut into the hill.
Otherwise, I like the course, the raised greens are a tricky but fair, but cutting holes into side slopes doesn’t provide an honest challenge. I typically don’t play courses again that allow clown holes on the course. Dunham Hills, Rolling Meadows, Whispering Pines are crowned greens that come to mind.
Sold a tee time and was rushed
130 Tee time for 18 and after checking in I was told I needed to make the turn before 3:15. I replied saying as long as the people in front of me play fast, I'll be able to and the person at the counter shrilugged his shoulders.
Don't sell 18 if a normal pace of play isn't going to be able to play 18. I was fortunate enough to play through two groups - I played fast and made the turn on time, but had I not played through then what? I'm out of luck?
Don't sell tee times that are up against a league.
The place is priced right or I'd not play there, ever.
A great place to relax
The course is great condition. A beautiful summer after gold event.
